What on Earth Am I Doing Here?
It could be fighting out of your depth, a different range you aren’t used to, a puncher grappling, or vice versa. Dealing with the aftermath of an unpleasant situation or one that is still ongoing. One you wish with all your heart you could walk away from, but you can’t. Circumstances don’t allow for escape. You may have taken on a job you thought you could handle, but now? Well, now that job is a bit much, a little bit too far out of your grasp. Or so you think.

How to stop feeling miserable, realistically
In Sapiens, Yuval Noah Harari describes that we live in a world of illusion. The monetary system, ideologies, until religion is a construction of human minds. Without we realize it or not, those illusions profoundly impact our lives.

I love my job
I love my job because I love my family. I love my job because of what I have. I love my job because they pay me. That might sound simplistic to you, but it is everything to me. I've had many jobs in my life and I've liked and hated things about each one of them, but in the end they were all about making money. Let's be honest going to work, whether you love your job or hate it, is about selling pieces of your life. I'm a truck driver I have been for the past twenty years and most of the time I love my job, but there isn't a minute I wouldn't trade to be at home with my family instead of at work.

The consequences of helping
I want to help; how can I help? I want to help; what is in it for me? Two different questions. Two different mindsets. Two quite different outcomes. Successful people always ask the first question. Why are they successful? They are, because they know that losing oneself in the service of others is what makes us. It is like a positive ripple effect. It goes out as service from one to another and comes back as contentment, fulfilment, satisfaction, and increased self-worth. People with this mindset usually live a happy life as they find the undeniable effects of giving back, lifting others, and making life better for someone else no matter how little.

Face Your Fears
I just got home from a 9 day Hawaiian vacation. Let me tell you, it was one of the best vacations I have ever had. Not for the reasons you may think. It was one of the best vacations, if not the best vacation because I actually went outside of my comfort zone for pretty much the first time in my life.

What is the difference between love and being in a relationship?
Love is unconditional, being in a relationship is not! The luck of noticing the difference, deep down, somehow (!) explains my very positive, moving experience with my ex-partners and their new lives and indeed new wives…

Be Great
Assume everyone in the world wants to be great, and that everyone in the world would do anything to achieve some sort of greatness; what would be the first thing holding them back? The place they were raised, how much money they were “born” with, or just the color of their skin are all good answers as a first obstacle, but they wouldn’t be the very first one. Before any written exam or physical competition there has to be an increase in knowledge or physical attributes. This is what I would call the preparation phase. After the practice is complete the person now has to go into their specific trials whether that be a chess tournament or a friendly race down the street. This is what I would call the acquire phase. The “final form” of this person has now been achieved and they are ready to have an okay to good performance. However, this is when the first obstacle will reveal itself clearly. Sometimes a good performance doesn’t get it done and a lot of people don’t understand that. The first obstacle to overcome for anyone who wants to be great isn’t the training, or even finding something to be great at, that part is easy. The first obstacle is to overcome losing, or failing after the first time when the training was as thorough as possible. Knowing that there wasn’t anything else that could have been done, and the only option is to get right back to it.

Staying Away from Negative Peer Pressure
Most of us want to believe that we are so strong that we cannot be affected by peer pressure. At least, I used to think so until I realized that it didn't have to be one big thing that my squad and I did. Maybe my friends want me to tag along to a party even though I have that assignment due the following day, but oh, life is short, so we should have fun.
