Motivation From A Queen Boss

Raynell Steward - Supa Cent - Entrepreneur, CEO Of The Crayon Case

Louisiana Strong, Hard Working, Go-Getter, Black Female Boss, Genuine, Supportive, Loyal, Committed, Giving And Nurturing Are Just A Few Words That Come To My Mind When I Think Of Raynell Steward, Better Known As Supa Cent. She Is The Very Definition Of Black Excellence In A Black Business Woman. From Buffing Tables To A Millionaire In 90 Minutes, This Woman Is The Epitome Of A Strong Black Woman In Business.

Supa or Supa Cent is what she goes by and she has been an inspiration to me since 2017 when I began following her on Instagram. I learned that she was already making comedy videos online previous to 2017 with other influencers and built a solid foundation of followers that way. She has always been into makeup, so in some of her videos she would apply makeup creating different looks Live. This was the start of something bigger than even she knew. Her world would change for the better.

In 2017 I was going through a very hard and dark time. A lot of things in my life were going awry and my motivation for continuing my own entrepreneurial journey almost flatlined. I remember scrolling through my Instagram timeline and recommended posts adding business pages for inspiration when I came across Supa's page. I went through her page and from her pictures alone she seemed like a good person to be around. I saw that she was an Entrepreneur of The Crayon Case. Her company is a one stop shop for makeup lovers everywhere, from beginners to the top notch. I am not one to wear makeup often so that wasn't what drew me to her. Going through Supa's page I was able to see her passion for her business, how hard she'd worked to get there, her loyalty with close knit circle of family and friends she had and all while staying true to herself. I loved the fact she didn't have to change or become someone she wasn't. Her mindset was different because of the knowledge she'd taken in and her marketing was brilliant. She sparked my mental state in the best way possible and I was able to pick myself up and go on after watching her journey for a few months.

Supa is a Mother of two beautiful children, boy and girl. She is nurturing to them and you can tell they are her world. She believes in giving back to Louisiana, which is where she was born and raised. Supa and one of her best friends, Jesseca Dupart better known as Da Real BB Judy (also an entrepreneur), had a huge Holiday Giveaway in Louisiana for the children. This was major because these were two Black Business Women giving back to their home state. If "Never Forget Where You Came From" was a person, Supa would definitely be that person. She is such a genuine person that people are drawn to her personality and energy.

In 2018 Raynell Steward, bka Supa, stopped the clock and caught thousands attention when she made $1 Million In 90 Minutes. The Crayon Case Cosmetics Company took off in a major way and now Supa was everywhere. Any time you scrolled through social media her name was there, everyone wanted to know this woman. I was so happy for her after following her journey at that time for a year. Her videos, posts and life make you feel as if you've known her your entire life. The best part about Supa's business and rise to the top is not just that she's a Black Owned Business Woman who made $1 Million in 90 minutes. No, the best part is she gives others exposure through her business as well. A lot of times the big makeup companies shun the small time makeup artist and only use certain people with the right look or someone famous for their campaigns and commercials. Supa decided to take anyone from beginners in makeup to creators, gurus and makeup artists onto her platform calling them Crayon Cuties. She said in an article "Don't Worry About Them Wear My Makeup, I'll Promote You!" Crayon cuties would take pictures and videos of themselves using The Crayon Case makeup products. This not only was a genuine move to bless others platforms and allow them exposure but it was genius marketing as well. Everyone eats can be seen in her life and she makes sure of that. She learned the ropes of her business and marketing world and she shares that with others. The Crayon Case Cosmetics Company doesn't run itself. Although Supa is at the forefront as the CEO she doesn't believe in leaving out those who have been in her corner. She said "I hired my family to help me do things I wasn't good at. And that's how...I became a millionaire." That should definitely be a message to everyone. When you have family and friends in your corner understand everyone is a part of your success. Help one another and get farther.

Supa has taught me a lot over the years looking at her journey and even implementing strategies that she's used into my own businesses over the years. A Black Woman who owns a huge cosmetics brand empowering other women through social media, public events, on your tv screens and most importantly through actions, Raynell Steward is indeed a Queen Boss that deserves every bit of recognition she receives. She has made a huge impact in my life for the better. She's a no nonsense individual who has a heart and has fun and plenty of intelligence. If you're in business, no matter if things are up or down, i'd encourage you to look at Supa's journey if you haven't, take notes along the way and implement them into your life. She is amazing. There's more to be said however her quote is all that's necessary "You Can Make A Million Excuses Or You Can Make A Million Dollars." That's Empowering. Thank You Raynell Steward, Supa, for never giving up. I needed you as my example. I am a Black Woman In Business who is better within my journey because a Black Woman In Business showed me that you can start from the bottom of the stairs and climb to the top. "There's no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs." You're A Brilliant Black Female Boss Supa. Thank You!
