Little mysteries

Sophia in the woods

“Money issues”

She ripped her university acceptance letter. Her parents had no idea about this. They had a feeling Sophia is not into academics. They pushed her to get out there and figure out what she wants to do for the rest of her life. Until she turns 65. She is fully supported to find one profession and stick to it till retirement.

She picked a skill she wasn’t deeply passionate about. “Hairdressing? That’s the most minimal wage you could pick. Unless you open your own salon” Her parents weren’t satisfied. But let her work anyway.

Months went past, she worked very hard.

Long hours….

…Late nights…

…worked all weekends…

She felt exhausted, never felt satisfied. Her wages weren’t matching her hard work and brilliant results. She kept changing salons to find somewhere better.

The salons kept changing as her style of clothes and her hairstyle kept on recreating.

She couldn’t save a dollar. But her outfits were filling up to the roof.

Still no satisfaction.

She didn’t want to be treated as lower class in society. But she couldn’t save up for a little car, or to move out of home. Deeply, she felt more than ordinary, but her days felt less. Like she was here to create positive change in this world, to have an impact towards others. But she felt small, stuck with nowhere to go.

“Everything costs so much money, to go anywhere, to do anything, to get anywhere in life. It's very expensive and I don’t want to live my life in debt or broke.”

She needed a way out but couldn’t find a way.

She searched and researched.

Career after a career change.

Course after course.

Business after business opportunity.

Friends after friends, you name it.

She builds her skills, knowledge, database. But her finances did not step up. Her parents kept giving and caring, but it didn’t push her growth.

“Do you want to be big fish in a small pond? Or small fish in a big pond?” her father advised her.

She thought location is important. Her surrounding was never the same, even though she stayed in the same household. Working hard in a busy, fast-paced city.

“The noise of the city has taken over the melody of birds. I feel like something is missing in my life. I need some silence.”

She found the courage to take a break from her busy schedule. To wander off and be lost into the woods. Take it slow, for as long as she can. This way she can clear her mind, declutter and deprogram herself. She will start all over again with a new state of being, a new version of herself.

Her barefoot steps on wet grass were her first steps into her meditative stage. She felt like whispers of voices in her mind got louder to guide her in nature.

“Listen to us and you will never feel lost again.”

She found a footpath with patches of grass as if it hardly been stepped on. She was guided to walk on it.

She got visions of times in her life that she heard these voices, yet she denied them. And had uneasy experiences which eventually multiplied.

From this realization, she had a breakthrough.

“The universe always guided me and gave me signs and messages. But I’ve been blind, I denied this guidance and that’s why I’ve felt like something has been missing in my life. I have been unaware of this universal connection. It's why I’ve been lost, broke, and suffered greatly.” As these realizations came to her, she sat by a tree to rest.

She placed her hands and dug them into the soil below her. “Ok universe, give me a sign NOW.” Her hands felt moist, a tickle from warms crawling around her muddy fingers. She dug a little deeper and she felt something hard. She pulled it out. It was a little black notebook. She wiped the front hardcover and read “Little Mysteries”.

She opened the journal and kept on reading as if her life depended on it.

She reads “As my company grew larger, employees grew. I sit in my office, take my coat off, roll up my sleeves and see the numbers growing in my mind…proven marketing strategies, advertising crew reach targets…best employee achievements… amazing new assistant manager doing greatly…” she reads on, and wonders if this rich person wrote about anything other than this so big company. She skips a few pages to see what the secret is of having a successful big company.

“…And yet I feel lost, unsatisfied, I lack spiritual connection, not even any loyal friends to have deep connections with…so I decided to come to the woods alone, maybe there is still a bit of hope, or sign from the universe. You know what? I will sign a check of $20,000 and leave it here. Maybe if I give this to the universe, I will get a bloody sign.”

Sophia slammed the book shut “WHAT???” she screamed.

“This smarty pants had so much money, something I’ve been missing, and felt unsatisfied and lonely, just like me!”

She turned to the back of the book and saw an envelope with the check…

Signed…

$20,000

Done!

The universe gave her the gift she wanted. But she didn’t seem so excited by it.

She sat still and waited in silence.

“There is a lesson here, isn’t it?” She thought out loud. Something she can’t do in the loud city or else she looks crazy.

She thought about her life, how much she spends on herself, and the clothes she didn’t need.

Who was she trying to impress by her clothes, her status, or career? How do these materialisms satisfy her inner being?

This little black book she found was not by accident, and not by luck for her to be rich in one night lost in the woods.

But for her to change her ways….

…her ways of being….

…way of living…

…And for her senses to always be open, so she is guided for messages and signs. And limited to receiving, but her awareness and appreciation and that we are all always guided by our guardian angels and our universal signals which is within us.

A year from that mysterious wet day in the woods went by and we watch Sophia from above as she educates others how to listen to their inner guidance.

She seems very satisfied, glowing from inside out, teaching young curious minds how to find love in everything they do and live out of the “norm.”

It seems she invested wisely and gives back to those who are eager to learn about the mysteries of life, and what happens when we start listening to the signs that are always there from the universe.

Sophia no longer had “money issues”, yet a more profound relationship with the energy of giving and receiving money and allowing this energy to flow.
