What’s your name and where are you from?

My name is Jacob Folus and I’m from Baltimore Maryland. I go by the stage name of WyhteOut.

———- Why do you love what you do?

I have always loved making music since I was a child. My father was a music teacher, so that’s where the passion comes from. I have seen my parents work hard to raise 3 children. It makes me work hard knowing what they have sacrificed for my siblings and me. I can never repay them for what they have done for me. They have tried to do everything possible to let me do what I love. I will forever be grateful!

———- What makes you different? ———-

My style is unique. I’m not in a box. I make whatever sound I hear in my head come to life. Genre is not a thing to me. I will rap, sing, or damn even make a country song if the vibe is there. I am not that into doing features with another artist. I don't know my full reason why but I just prefer to do my records. I feel I added what needs to be added by being alone recording.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? ———-

To keep being able to do what I love every day. I hope I never lose my passion. When I’m 25 I want to not be brain dead. What I mean by this is I want to be fully aware of everything I am doing and not addicted to substances. This year I have been fully clean from alcohol after struggling with it. For a year now I have been off drugs and feel great! I hope in 5 years I will still be level-headed and be crushing it.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

Everybody wants plaques and money. I want to be able to talk with my fans. I want to change people's lives. Family is a very important thing to me. So having children to me would be one of the most precious things I could do in my life.

———- What do you bring to your industry?

Talent. I hear things in a way people don’t. People have called me the “Hook King”. I have always been able to come up with catchy choruses very fast. I want to point out this, I bring information that they don’t want you to hear. I tell it how it is. What needs to be said I’m saying. I don’t care about backlash people, the people who are hating are either ignorant or the people not wanting you to hear it. People need to understand that you need money to be able to move up in this "Game" as you would call it. Money lets you do what you want and move as you need to. Don't worry about getting the paper from the music at first. Get the job you don't want but have a plan and once you do you will not hate having to show up to work every day. This is because you know you will be successful while everyone is going to be stuck in the same place.

———- What do you want to be remembered by? —

I want people to see my message. It’s all about your ownership in this business and not taking no for an answer. When they say you can't, there is always a way to do it. Also when something fails it doesn’t fail, you just haven’t figured out the right approach. Ok ok
