What’s your name and Where are you from?
Cash Arroyo
Born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania but raised in a small
County in Florida known as Polk county.
Why do you love what you do?
⁃ I love what I do because we once lived in a society where what I dealt with wasn’t talked about much or was looked down on. Granted I completely understand why people are more reserved with their medical history, but when I took a step out onto social media and voiced what I was dealing with, I realized I wasn’t alone. I was not alone with my condition and I was not alone in references, help, resources, and more, I knew it was up to me to make a change in that aspect. Which is why I started a small business called SleepyCys to help women combat hygiene issues while feeling seen and comfortable. That’s also the reason why I created PCOS platforms on social media so that access to vital information was free.
What makes you different?
⁃ I genuinely feel like what makes me different then most creators who speak about PCOS, or Women’s hygiene is that I do not try to sugarcoat anything. I tell people exactly what it is, and how it can be, I explain the importance of things all while still keeping my platforms organic. I always hated making people feel like they needed to drastically change their lives, eat grass, and sip on air, it drove me mad. I feel like when you tell or make people drastically change, it causes anxiety, dysmorphia, or bad relationships with food, fitness, and more.. and therefore I stayed away from that mindset. The turtle won the race, not the hare.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
⁃ In 5 years I want to dominate the space I work so hard to cultivate. I will be speaking on different platforms, online, in person, and at conferences, my social media will skyrocket, and my business will help women bring children into this world, lose weight, and be the healthiest version of themselves. In retrospect, it’s not even about me really, it’s about pushing what I do so far out there, that when someone thinks of PCOS, infertility, or BV, someone in that room is thinking of my name.
What do you want to accomplish in life?
⁃ Right now, I am striving to get my small (BIG) business into manufacturers and get myself on amazon and beauty stores worldwide. My content will reach millions, and I can hire a team of fearless women like myself who once struggled to step out of their comfort zone due to society’s pressures. I think I would be my happiest self if I could just talk about PCOS, Women’s hygiene, and how to shift your life with small steps rather than big ones; because that’s exactly what we tell ourselves with everything else in life yes? Just START, and one day you’ll look back and realize the mountains you climb and the hardest part you thought would be, was getting off the couch.
What do you bring to your industry?
⁃ I bring realism to my industry, research, love, and understanding. Doctors around the United States are doing more harm to women suffering from PCOS than good because they are not directly focusing on what causes PCOS, and how to steer clear from disrupting their DHEA, cortisol, and insulin. Doctors are suggesting birth control, gym, and healthy eating, like a super 3 pack, when in reality it’s more complicated than that; and I feel like I am the one they find when they need more than that. How do we eat healthily? How do we balance our Hormones? How do we not stress or how can we properly lose weight? I bring a sense of understanding that some doctors don’t, and I also make sure people understand this is not going to be easy, so the excuses can be left at the door because I ain’t here for it lol
What do you want to be remembered by?
⁃ I want to be remembered for being this Go-getter with a bright personality; I always gave even when I had nothing left to give, and I provided information and roads for those who desperately needed it. If one person says I changed their life at my funeral, then it’s all I need. My life is not for me, it’s for those who need me the most.
