Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone
Try something new. I have never been the best at writing and right now I am struggling to find words on what to say, but something has always driven me to enjoy the art of writing. I have always been big on reading and can often finish a whole book in one night if I put my mind to it. As a little girl, I would try writing and posting on an app called "Wattpad" where regular people (just like myself) can post stories or poems or anything they had a desire to write about. Whenever I would begin to write a story, I would doubt my ability to write and got discouraged because my stories were horrid compared to others.

Ahimsa
Okay, let's start at square one: what in the world is "ahimsa"? Friends, Romans, Countrymen, let me introduce you to a beautiful concept I discovered recently. Ahimsa is the concept of compassion to all living things. It comes from Sanskrit "himsa" which roughly translates to "injury" or "harm". Ahimsa is the opposite of this. So, "to cause no harm or injury."

This Is Why Rejection Is a Good Thing
Have you ever thought you were in love only to be told by the one you admire that he or she wants to break up with you? Have you ever applied for a job and been told the organization or company chose someone else? Have you ever applied to a school or program and been declined entry?

I'm Rich. Top Story - June 2018.
I’ve been fortunate enough to visit a few other countries in my life. I love seeing other people speak their mother tongue, eat food that’s strange to me, see centuries-old architecture. Most of the time when I travel, it’s pretty laid-back and my thoughts swirl around a certain cathedral or the intricacies of bagged milk (looking at you, Canada). But every now and then I visit a place that, for better or for worse, makes me feel rich.

Accepting Change
Change is the shadow that lingers in the corner of every room, but it is also the light that shines through your window of opportunity. Change may seem scary or unwanted, but it is going to happen. But an inevitable change is something we shouldn’t fear, like getting older. It happens to everyone and there isn’t anything we can do to stop it, so why not embrace it? Throughout life we go through various changes, both physically and mentally, and some changes, even some of the worst ones, can be the most rewarding of all. You may lose your job but then find one that suits you even better. You could move to a new country or meet a new partner after going through the breakup of a failed relationship. These are all things you shouldn’t be afraid of. You should want them to happen. Yes, you may be content with the life you have now but you are never going to have new experiences if you don’t allow them to happen. You need to take risks and see change as something positive.

Forgiveness
Forgiveness, what an unheard of word in today's world of so much senseless and gruel hate. Just reading a newspaper or watching the evening news, you will be bombarded with so many hate-filled stories it sickens the stomach. I just don't understand society anymore. I truly, in my heart of hearts, believe that if more had an ounce of forgiveness in them, they would have no room left for so much anger and hate.

Finding Peace
How do we find inner peace? What does it look like? What do we do to get there? My search for inner peace has been a long journey, and it's still going. My journey of life has been hard, sad, angry, depressed, happy, and exciting. But many experience these feelings and different situations. What experiences have you had that make you feel stressed, anxious, depressed, etc.? How did you deal with them? Did you push people away just because you didn't want to trust someone with helping you? The fear that drives our world is so strong, why do we live in fear of things? We need to be standing up for ourselves, for our families, our loved ones. We need to be strong, empowered, educated. We deserve to make our conditions better for us, and better for everyone around us. We deserve to live the best lives that we possibly can, and that can start with you! We can do something about making our world a better place if we try.

What Do You Want to Do With Your Future?
Lifestyle What do you want to do with your future?? What do you want to be when you grow up, or what do you want to do with your future? These questions are commonly asked to us by friends and family members. But why? This question gets us thinking deeper and deeper into time and life. This question can constantly linger in the back of our heads and eat you away late at night. I hate this question, because I feel like it takes away from our present-day life until we are on our death bed. For those worrying about this question, I simply say don't! There is so much more to your present life than there is worrying about the future, especially in your 20s.
