The Effects of Poverty on a Teen
The idea of poverty is a social stigma, especially since we are accustomed to living decent lives in our developed countries. When poverty is mentioned, people tend to generate the idea of sad children commercials compelling them to "donate now," when in fact people who are influenced by it are everywhere. For people who have had the luck to never experience the struggle of staying afloat, these ideas may make a person naive, and less sensitive to the topic of poverty. Usually hidden in the depths of society, it is hard to recognize a person who is struggling, other times it can be quite obvious. Sometimes there is a fear of embarrassment for a person to use resources available when in need, like food banks, soup kitchens or shelters. But growing up and watching your family struggle long and hard, the greatest fear I have personally, is falling back into the known cycle of poverty.

The Story Behind the Face
You are her. You walk day to day putting on the same act. You force yourself out of bed. You knowingly cake on the makeup while calling it a "natural look." You routinely get your coffee. You grab your keys and you get in your car. You walk the halls as a celebrity, but you are the only one who knows how it feels. How what feels? How it feels to be dying on the inside. How it feels to be eaten alive by what the world calls "satisfied" and "loved." How it feels to hide yourself behind the smile, behind the clothes, and behind the friends.

Diaries
Diaries, I used to find them a commitment. Given I have quite a busy schedule I never found the time to write in one. However, once I started, I couldn't stop. I find it a way to say things words can't explain. They don't even have to be private. If you feel like writing something down because speaking up isn't easy, start with that.

How to Stop Being Negative Through Taking Responsibility
I’ve started to believe that the way you approach situations is a choice, and from that choice, future opportunities present themselves in the way you want to perceive them. In essence, you make your own “luck.” That’s not to say the people that struggle have chosen to struggle. We all have our fair share of issues and hardships but—now especially—the temptation to stay a victim is palpable.

Conveying Confidence . Top Story - July 2018.
Not everyone is blessed with the gift of being confident and the ability to talk to anyone and put themselves out there, and unfortunately there are a lot of people out there that struggle with their self confidence and feeling comfortable within their own skin. Believe me, I am one of those people. But there are things that you can do every day to "fake" confidence and slowly build it for real.

The 10 Most Helpful Ways to Become a Better You
#1 - Abandon your comfort zone. We always fear leaving our comfort zones—and never achieving anything extraordinary because we are afraid of what a bit of courage might cause. We must understand that our comfort zone is our enemy. It’s the little voice telling us to keep that job we know we hate, or to stay in our relationships we know we’re unhappy in, or to not go after a girl or boy we know we’re interested in. We stay in it because we are afraid of what facing adversity and humility feels like. We tend to get so afraid of being anything but “comfortable”, that we never end up pursuing our dreams, and always settle for mediocrity. We should abandon our comfort zones— and stop letting our fear of the unknown dictate what we can or can’t do with our lives. The world is ours for the taking, and we should make our lives exactly what we want to, regardless of who says otherwise.

Hey, Is Anyone Listening?
I recently moved to London after living in Ireland for five years and travelling to 45 countries during the same time, something that I would love to write about some day. Although I will always love Ireland with all my heart, being a guy from South America, used to massive and quite chaotic cities, I was missing all the buzz from a big metropole and due to nothing seemed to be flowing anymore on the other side of the Irish sea, I thought this would be the best opportunity for me to make the big move. Well, here I AM! Living the dream in one of my favourite spots in the whole world. Well, am I really?
