Who Am I?
Everyone wonders who they are at some point of time or another. Some get the answers they're searching for, while others keep searching for years and years until they finally either die or give up and move on. Who you are and who you're supposed to be are two completely different things. Maybe you're supposed to be the perfect child and follow in the footsteps of your parents or grandparents. That doesn't mean that's who you are. In order to find out who you are, you must journey that path alone. The people you meet along the way will help you discover the answers you so desperately seek, but that's all they can do.

How to Create Successful Goals for the New Year. Top Story - December 2018.
With the year coming to a close and the excitement of what the next 365 days might bring, we are all creating the new year's resolution list in our minds. While I'm not a fan of creating goals on a particular day, I understand the mentality behind it. Each year feels like a clean slate for us to change things we don't like in our lives. However, most of us create goals that fizz out within the first two weeks of January. The problem isn't making a goal, but building one that we can genuinely accomplish.

It's Difficult, I Know
Life, to me, is how my dad explained it. It's like a horse race, but one of those ones where there are jumps every other hundred yards. My dark spin on my dad's analogy is, it IS like a horse race. You're riding through life smoothly for about 10 seconds, then you hit a rather heart-dropping hurdle. Now, if you don't fall of inevitability, you've succeeded. But every once in a while, the people riding fall off and the horse breaks its leg and the curtains go up. Generally, life is like that for everyone; we smooth sail whilst regularly jumping hurdles and overcoming those hurdles.

It's Time to Let Go!
What would you risk to make your dreams come true? We spend a lot of time dreaming and hoping that one day we may accomplish our dreams and our goals, but when you finally start seeing things turn around for you; when you finally see your dreams coming true; you finally see things in your life progressing; will you allow yourself to fall back or will you allow yourself to lose focus and get distracted?

Become Wiser & Happier
"What are your resolutions for 2019?" Why do we have the urge to make new resolutions each time a new year is about to begin? Very often it is a pursuit to man's greatest desire: happiness. Making sure 2019 turns out to be a happier year than this one.

The Law of Process: Daily Construction. Top Story - December 2018.
I sanded on my industrial arts project for what felt like an eternity. I knew the teacher was right. I had seen my dad’s woodwork. In the end it was worth the time to hear, “Wow! I’ve never seen something this nice come out of a seventh grade class!”

Wishing for Multiple Lives in One Life
I feel as if I have always, and by that I mean for as long as I can remember, wanted to be someone different. I wanted to be a talented singer, or an artist, or a really, really kickass dancer. I have wanted to be beautiful, or wake up with flat abs. I have wanted to wake up to clear, beautiful skin, to wake up in a whole different country. I have a beautiful life, extremely loving parents, wonderful friends, and my days are filled with memories that I wish I could stick onto scrapbook pages for posterity's sake. And even still, sometimes I feel trapped. I always seem to want to be in a place different from where I am.

Why Doing Stuff on Your Own Is Awesome!
Most of my life, I have enjoyed doing things by myself. I think it stems from when I was in primary school and I would never play with anyone at break time and instead just skip around the playground lost in my own world. Even though I don't do that anymore *cough*, I still like to do things alone, whether it be shopping or going to the gym. Don't get me wrong, I like to hang out with my friends too, and sometimes I do like company, if I go to the cinema for example. What I mainly want to focus on in this post is things that people often do with others but could choose to do alone. I know that a lot of people, particularly girls, always like to have company whenever they do something, which is great and sociable, but in some situations doing an activity on your own can be beneficial (and even easier)! So here are four reasons why doing things on your own can be awesome!

Moving Along the Old Dusty Road
A lot of people never tell you that it's okay to take risks. In fact, a lot of people can agree with me that most of their life, they've been told to play it safe. Even the risk takers now-a-days say that they are always on the edge, but in reality, they play it safe, just like the rest of us.

Stripping Bare for Public Consumption: You Think It’s Easy Being a Writer?
Writers are, by and large, a bold lot. The women pictured above were inspired by a similarly empowering visual of the musical group, Little Mix. The insults scrawled on their bodies, as with those of the women of Little Mix in a much-discussed body-positive photo posted on their Instagram account (see final image, below), represent a selection of verbal affronts they’ve endured throughout their lives.
