Welcome Change
My Dearest 2018, I must confess something I have been holding within. I no longer love you or want to be with you. The time has come for us to break up. I am ready for 2019 and for the better things to come with that relationship. I know you are hurt, sad, lost, confused and wondering where did all this come from. Let us travel back to January when Chandler turned one. I will be honest I wasn’t ready for him to turn one and I wasn’t prepared for all that entailed with that new age.

A Message from Texxx-Man Cosplay
2018 is almost over and 2019 is fast approaching. Part of this year has been rough on me. I was homeless and jobless for months before I ended up slowly getting back on my feet. However, there have been some great moments from this year. Back in late July, I returned from a four month hiatus from cosplay, attended GlitchCon with my friends about a week and a half later, started a new job after Labor Day and moved in with a roommate. Finally, in early October, I worked on my first cosplay in over a year, which was The Human Spider. Next year, I'm planning on working on an Aquaman/Red Gyarados mashup that's going to be called Aquados. I might work on another cosplay, but I'm not sure yet.

What Have You Learnt from 2018?
It's that time of the year again; the time when people look back on the year that they've had and try to make changes for the upcoming year. 2018 has been a rollercoaster of a year, and for some reason, it also seemed like it was an excruciatingly long one. I saw tweets that literally reminded me that Black Panther came out in February and that the entire Tide Pod fiasco happened in January. In case you've forgotten, the FIFA World Cup also happened this year. Fortnite feels like it's been around for a couple of years, right? Nope; this year. No matter which way you look at it, 2018 feels like its been here forever. It definitely feels nice to finally put a lid on everything bad this year has brought and look forward to 2019, and the most common way to do this is, of course, make resolutions. Now, I've made my stance on New Year's resolutions pretty clear in an earlier article, so I'm not going to talk about that today. Instead, I'm going to give you a bit of advice on something that you can do to ensure that you get some form of closure for everything you've been through, good or bad, for 2018. Don't worry, it's not a very complicated process or anything of the sort; in fact, it's quite simple. All you need is a pen and a piece of paper.

End of the Year Thoughts
As 2018 comes to a close, I look back at all that has occurred. Some good. Some not so good. I don’t want to erase the not so good things from my mind, as they all taught me lessons. I was reminded that people who I thought would always be there for me actually ended up turning their backs on me (figuratively and literally). I was reminded of the people who aren’t happy unless there is some sort of drama in their lives. I learned that people tend to let their lives be controlled by negative people instead of just thinking for themselves.

What Does It Mean to Show up in Life?
What does it mean to "Show up for ourselves?" (raising one eyebrow in wonder). Showing up isn't just putting action behind a thought, we can all put on a uniform sort of speak and head to the office. We can create a vision board and execute like any effective leader. "Showing up" is hard work but if we are to reach the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, we have to awaken to who we are and develop the right approach when it comes to our well-being.

Here's to the Warriors Battling at Home, Wherever that May Be
It had always been wherever the family is. At least for me. Home is where the heart is. (But does my heart really belong at home? Does it really belong to the people who raised me to be the person that I am today?)

Specifically Random Thoughts on 2018
Sitting down and looking at my phone screen is weird, since I can barely use my phone to text people back within an appropriate time. But I wanted to take this opportunity to share my feelings about random and specific things and conclude this brief, but important chapter called 2018.

Learn How to Make Stress Your Best Friend
When was the last time that you’ve experienced stress? A week ago? Yesterday? Maybe even right now? Regardless of when it occurred, stress is obviously not the greatest feeling, both psychologically and physiologically. I mean, who’s got the time for sweaty palms, butterflies, and shakiness?

Happy Illusion
Are you happy? Tell me. Think. Are you feeling alive, cheerful, joyous, poised and the very many adjectives that describe the beautiful mood you’re in? You’re not? Why? For how long have you not been happy? Is it something bad? Did something happen? Do you care?

My New Resolution
Part 1—Introduction My new resolution! I will start out and say that 2018 sucked for me big time. Sometimes if felt it was a shit show of a spectacle. I got out of a long-term relationship. I thought it would be on good terms. Although it wasn’t really mutual, I was under the impression that it was due to time drifting us apart. Later found out he was a liar, cheat and so many other things. That crashed my world. I then became a single parent. Having all those responsibilities on my shoulder was a change and hard. Then I got hurt and wasn’t able to do anything. Good news now is that I am slowly getting better. I felt like I really hit rock bottom and had periods of sadness, depression, and despair.
