New Year Renewal
Each year begins in a fallow phase. We greet the new year from the frozen heart of winter. We stand upon the edge of time looking backward over the past year and forward toward the new. For many, the new year represents a time of contemplation and resolution. Many resolve to break past patterns. Others resolve to begin new habits designed to bring more health, happiness, and longevity. We often gather with friends to celebrate this new opportunity to begin again. Some take the time to contemplate both the past and future, to set goals, and to motivate themselves toward pinnacles left to be obtained.

Thoughts of a Strong 22-Year-Old Woman
I never dreamed life would be so hard. As a child, you think adults have it easy. You can’t wait to be one. I will forever reassure children being an adult is no fun. The only fun part is you don’t have any rules from your parents. However, I promise you will want those silly rules back.

Inner Purpose Journal (January '18)
(1/1/18) A good day. My purpose becomes more and more clear each day. The plan is there, the assistance is there, I just have to play my part. Do what I'm supposed to do. Love God. Love people. There is a lot I was put on this earth to create; it's game time now. The lights are on, it's time to perform. Continue to Learn. Continue to Grow.

Dear Universe
"Dear God" comes from one of my favorite books, The Color Purple by Alice Walker. Another story of the underdog woman, who rises strong within herself, finds love, and reunites with her long lost sister and children. A story that sings pain and fairytale like triumphedness. I find that a lot of my mentors find that I am not yet all that I could be in this life. I find that I am pushing myself to be greatness and achieve a sort of grand, unrealistic homeostasis. I wanted the relationship, the scholarship, the fantastic grades, the spiritual apex, the "Queen of the World," the justice for my people, a story where a woman like myself could rise grand out of the shadows with perfection and a strength unlike anything ever seen.

Breath
12/21/2018—I've lived in Pennsylvania for three months now after living in Central Illinois and Greater Buffalo area in New York the past several years. I was accustomed to the bitter winds and blizzard-like conditions that those states offered in abundance. So while one evening, on a warm December day in Pennsylvania, I sat on my balcony and checked the temperature on my smartphone, it flashed 60 degrees Fahrenheit across the screen, and I thought to myself, "This is unusually warm. I can't believe it's almost Christmas and it's this warm outside!" I then decided to take a break from my busy day of cleaning and allowed myself to take in the sight of the distant tree-covered hills, and the busy sounds of passing cars on a nearby highway.

Fun Motivational Gifts for Coworkers. Top Story - December 2018.
It can be difficult to choose the right gift for the people you work with: You want to get something that they can use, but with just enough of a personal touch to make it something they'll be sure to appreciate and enjoy. That said, you also want to avoid any "funny" gifts that could go over badly, gifts that give a message you don't mean to give, or the best tech gifts for coworkers that might break the bank. In the end, buying for coworkers can be far more stressful than buying for friends or family. To ease some of that difficulty, look into some fun, motivational gifts for coworkers so they can continue being the best they can be.
