The Bliss of Being Alive
"Ignorance is bliss, but wisdom is the bliss of feeling alive." Bliss is simplicity. It is the core of our beings. Bliss is what you feel when you get rid of all the unnecessary thinking and worrying that we do. When you get rid of things that are doing you harm you uncover the joy that is within you. It can then shine out through you. Drop everything and become aware of what is unfolding in front of you at this moment. This is how bliss is found.

Can You Fail at Failure?
Another day, another failure, another opportunity to reflect. There have been so many times now that I have figuratively banged my head against the wall in anguish over what a colossal failure I am. Just earlier this evening I threw in the towel and committed to giving up. I gave up on writing a research project proposal that I was genuinely eager to complete. I talked myself into an absolute tizzy over all the reasons why it would go wrong, why it would be a mistake, why it would cause problems for me down the line. Funnily (or perhaps not at all), I couldn't even articulate what would actually go wrong, I just felt this impending doom that something definitely would.

Life Is Hard
As humans, we have a tendency to hurt people. We hurt the people we encounter for a minute if we are unkind. We hurt the people we care about if we make a mistake and we hurt people we don't even know if the mistake we make has a ripple effect (which it almost always does).

Social Media ... or Not So Much!?
Oh, the lovely world of social media, we all love it and sometimes, we hate it. Now if you know anything about me, I am someone who absolutely loves social media and uses the full potential of it to display my creativity and influence. I love being able to connect with others all across the globe, marketing to new clients and learning about cultures that I had no idea existed outside of social media. It is so beautiful to know there are so many people out there that are like you. Then, there are many others that are total opposites and they bless us with their absolute uniqueness. Learning to balance between the two and have many flowing personalities can be a wonderful thing. However, what we find sometimes is that we compare ourselves to others that are behind a glass screen, just like us, with a normal life.

The Voices in My Head
The voices in my head tell me that I'm not good enough... Should I believe them or do I need to make them leave? It started with my childhood, my dad was incredibly aggressive towards my mother. It made me think; is my mom not good enough for him? Why would he do that all the time? But then I thought; my mom is the prettiest woman that I have ever seen in my entire life.

Control Over Yourself
Trial and error, that's what our imperfect world has to offer. Trial and error, the building of self ... I'm currently reading Human, All Too Human by Nietzsche (that plus other books I keep rotating through the course of my studies this semester). I must say, that there is nothing more rejuvenating than reading a book, educating yourself and having a deep knowledge of things that are easily ingestible, whilst building yourself is as important as building a house. Quite recently I changed my perception on life, my values changed and the resentment I had diminished. Having core values ingrained and once faced with harsh reality, you're bound to rebuild yourself. Sometimes that might not be the case, sometimes our emotions get the best of us. Don't let your emotions get the best of you, exercise your mind and meditate, learn to control the personal attacks. This has been personally hard for me, but it gets better with practice. Understand you can do and be whatever ... You could be the animal you are scared to be. Free yourself into the realms of your mind and you will move with so much grace. These social constructs young people inflict on you. Fuck that, you are so much better than the disillusioned. Competence is the road to the competition that is the world. The world is not going to babysit you, it’s going to throw rocks at you, spit on you, and when shit gets easier ... The more hurdles you are going to have to face. The brain can adapt with the more experiences and dangers you put yourself into.

The Power of the 24
We have 86,400 seconds each day to accomplish so much. Just think, the average person, Barack Obama, Beyoncé, and Bill Gates each have the same 86,400 seconds every day. Many people might have giggled at the analogy, but the first step of maximizing your day is understanding that your day can be maximized without the cost being lack of physical and mental wellbeing. Granted, the average person usually has daily tasks that are different from public figures and the average person does not have a professional or personal assistant, yet we all still have the same 24 to achieve our goals. And, the fact of the matter is that we actually experience the entire 24 hours of each day. Let’s assume the daily itinerary of a college student for example (we are easy to pick on).

How Young Are You?
How young are you? No really. How young are you? Notice I'm being very intentional with my words. Often we say, "I am ____ years old" but how often do we call ourselves young? While driving one of my passengers for Uber, they introduced me to a wonderful philosophy. The idea is that we are all young. We are young if we want to be, choose to be, and believe we are.

Fear's Favorite Food. Top Story - February 2019.
Facing fear is something we have all had to deal with. The fear to do ... The fear not to do ... The fear of success ... The fear of failure ... We all face different fears in our life. Yet there are ways in which we either increase or diminish our fears. We don't have to let them control us but this can very much be the case. Often we find that, if we are not careful, we may end up strengthening the very things are afraid of.

New Year's Resolutions
Feb. 15, 2019: New Years Resolutions... This is something that's been on my mind for some time now. I have an issue when it comes to setting goals and actually keeping them, especially when I don't see immediate results. I am impatient, so often times when I am unable to see the progress I've been making I get discouraged and will eventually give up.

10 Reasons Why I Hate Productivity Videos on YouTube
Being a university student, I have exams, assignments, and due dates. besides all my extra-school stuff like work, laundry, socializing, and having fun. The study community on YouTube and on the social is always proposing brand new, crazy routines that go from 5 A.M. and lead to dinner with no space for fun whatsoever. Here is why I hate this 5 A.M. standard and why I think your years in uni shouldn't be stressful ones.
