Trial and error, that's what our imperfect world has to offer. Trial and error, the building of self ... I'm currently reading Human, All Too Human by Nietzsche (that plus other books I keep rotating through the course of my studies this semester). I must say, that there is nothing more rejuvenating than reading a book, educating yourself and having a deep knowledge of things that are easily ingestible, whilst building yourself is as important as building a house. Quite recently I changed my perception on life, my values changed and the resentment I had diminished. Having core values ingrained and once faced with harsh reality, you're bound to rebuild yourself. Sometimes that might not be the case, sometimes our emotions get the best of us. Don't let your emotions get the best of you, exercise your mind and meditate, learn to control the personal attacks. This has been personally hard for me, but it gets better with practice. Understand you can do and be whatever ... You could be the animal you are scared to be. Free yourself into the realms of your mind and you will move with so much grace. These social constructs young people inflict on you. Fuck that, you are so much better than the disillusioned. Competence is the road to the competition that is the world. The world is not going to babysit you, it’s going to throw rocks at you, spit on you, and when shit gets easier ... The more hurdles you are going to have to face. The brain can adapt with the more experiences and dangers you put yourself into.
The more courageous and uplifted you will feel, a grand personification of yourself. Stop telling yourself things that make you weak, stop telling yourself that you ain’t worth it. Embrace and understand the voice that says this, and try and formulate a way to combat this. If its stage fright, put yourself in positions that make you less comfortable and you will see your confidence rise, exponentially. Trial and error, I have realized that having one belief system is dangerous, and from a philosophical point of view could lead to nihilism. I was watching a Jordan Peterson lecture and what I got from it is, try to stay in the middle of a path. Do not constrain yourself to one single position, it could lead to unjust morality or lack of emotion, loss of empathy. Change is a huge obstacle to overcome but not impossible.
Change can be whatever you make it. A simple change of a sleeping schedule, exercising and reading are all attainable. Do not stress the existence of useless factors that should not have any effect on you. Focus on yourself and treat yourself to the fruit that is knowledge. People around you will always have something to say, whether good or bad, take that in. It is an assessment of who you are, sometimes it can be interpreted as spite and jealousy. However, at times there are hidden truths through the white lies. Trial and error, there are different paths to a destination, different shooting forms to enter the basket. If one method does not work, don’t stop there, find another on. Build a set of disciplinary measures if you see yourself falling or strolling off course. Taking responsibility for your life isn’t as accommodating as having fun with your friends and not giving a fuck. At the end of your life cycle, you will be remembered for who you are, and you will be buried 10 feet under with yourself—trial and error.
