How to Stand Out
"Everything in this world is a hustle, but when you do something different than the next man you stand out." This was told to me by one of my passengers on a Lyft ride. At first I didn't think much of this saying, but after some thought I realized its profound insight. This particular phrase would continue to stick with me on my journey of self-discovery.

I Did a Digital Detox—and It Was Nothing Like I Expected
Now, I will start off by saying this wasn’t planned at all. I forgot my phone in my friends car on my way to catch the train. I had two minutes to decide whether I go back and try to catch her (and potentially miss this train which, would make me wait 15 minutes for the next one) OR just suck it up and go the whole day phone-less. This Is Trash: An Open Letter to My 20s—Reigning Women
Okay. I'm not going to waste any time on this one. For those of you who are in your 20s as well, you know all too well that your 20s are as complicated, stupid, confusing, and much, much more. So much to the point that it's actually humorous to a degree.

It takes an insurmountable amount of energy to act like you have all of your life put together. I don’t like how we live in a society where we are pressured to make ourselves act less human and more robotic. That leads me to the next thing that I cannot, for the life of me, continue to commit to: FAKE SMILES! I gotta tell you, I’ve had it. It truly takes someone like me more energy to force a smile than it would for me to just marinate in my grim state. Drumroll please for a second honorable mention that I mustn't forget to add…

The Rabbit Hole of Perfection
Every generation has been sold a bill of goods about how they should strive to live their lives. In the 1970s, people were promised a life of leisure and freedom at 55, if they worked hard for 35 years with the same employer. In the 90s the myth of perpetual prosperity abounded. One of the great lies of the 21st century is that we should continuously strive for perfection. Be the best you can be.

The Best Way to Deal with Feeling Overwhelmed
These tricks have helped me get out of the pit feeling overwhelmed. Sometimes when we are overwhelmed, all we want to do is just lay down and do nothing. That's completely fine for a little while until you got to pick yourself back up.
