7 Steps to Effective Goal Setting
Most of us set goals for ourselves. Sometimes these goals are short-term or long-term goals, maybe we even set both types for ourselves. To give you an idea, here are a few examples of short-term goals: Reading 10 pages a day, mediating and exercising for 30 minutes, waking up early and going to bed on time, saving money for a vacation, or choosing to eat healthier. A couple examples of long-term goals could be buying a house in the future, pursue a higher education in college, starting your own business, increase your level of fitness, or starting a family of your own.

First Time Seeing Myself
Every day is just a normal day but there are some days that just show you who you really are. There are life obstacles that will give you guidance and direction into finding yourself. I found that those obstacles can lead you to either sink or swim. So you better be careful on your choice. The most difficult thing to do is "making a decision."

Keep Your Chin Up
Take a sip of some fruity tea, breath in the fresh air, and allow your gratefulness to sift in and out. If you look where you came from and see how far you have come. Give yourself a pat on the back. You are amazing and anybody would be lucky to spend time with you. When we come from what I came from living month to month is awesome. We may not have as much money as the most successful but we have enough.

The Importance of Being... Honest
Today I sat at a coffee shop right next to a couple on a Tinder date. Ugh. It does happen quite a lot. Those Tinder people seem to pop up everywhere. I try not to eavesdrop on whatever people are talking about, but holy shit, is it usually awkward and polite and oh so dull, that I feel close to obligated to activate a fire alarm, so we can just evacuate the entire coffeeshop and maybe save the last part of the human race, who still shares a grain of faith in love and conversations that doesn't make you wanna cut your wrists after five minutes.

Society Doesn’t Dictate Our Lives, We Do
We are always been told many things in our lives. Some we like, some we don’t. But sometimes the things that we don’t like affects us in a way that makes us feel out of the place. Though we never show it, deep down, it hurts. It hurts to listen to people talking about us. Yes, people say positive things too, but dissenting the things said sometimes overpowers our mind. Moreover, there are that kind of people too who try to maintain an image of not caring what people say, but inside this thing kills them.

This Void
The void. The post-collegiate drift into sorrow to non-perfection. Flowing to the masses, crying out, am I without shame to my flock? Have they dispersed and allowed my darkness to consume me? To aid in the destruction of my longevity. And what do I say to my reflection; that bitch greets me with a reminder that I am not perfect; I am not what I set out to be.

I Took My Own Advice and It Changed My Life
I pride myself on giving my friends good, wholesome advice. I genuinely try to give the best, most logical advice and never take sides, and I even acknowledge my bias when presenting my thoughts and opinions to them, which is why they often come to me. I really appreciate their honesty and they appreciate mine. They’re not offended when I call them out for being on their phone too much, hurting their friends' feelings or not really having a reason to be upset at their significant other. I can even get them to calm down when they’re mad, put themselves in other people’s shoes or just let things go. I’m not saying all of this to gloat, simply to point out that there’s a problem here.

Why Transforming Yourself Should Be Your Top Priority
Throughout my journey, I have noticed a running theme amongst humanity, and that is, we all want to help... We all want to make a difference, to leave our mark on the world and create a lasting legacy for ourselves to be remembered for generations to come.
