Are You Dead or Are the Dead Living Among the Living?
When you live in a world that revolves around people wearing masks, you begin to think that real is fake. The monstrous behaviors of the world and society have been so dismantled that we have lost touch and empathy. We have lost all human capability of loving and nurturing with pure heartfelt love. When was the last time you ever said I love you and actually meant it? This proves that love has been forgotten. Love has lost its meaning and purpose in pursuing where it matters most.

Self-Reflection and Time
Time changes your perspective, especially when you lose ground with your inner self. I had totally exhausted most of my energy into my studies with little success, until I learned the art of self-reflection and time. Sometimes we tend to drift apart by doing what we need to do to survive, and we find ourselves in the midst of confusion and unsound decisions. Conflict is never with anyone, but with self. The complexities of the world leave us totally shrouded in confusion. Self-reflection is the constant reminder of who we are. There are occasions when one neglects the time to reflect. The only way to rectify the issue of neglect is to uncover the layers of who you are. Even though you have been constantly busy with mundane stuff, you feel that you have made progress in reaching some goals. There can never be an end to self-discovery. It’s a constant journey that knows no end.

Young and Delusional
Coming home on a Sunday after a brunch well done. Bottle of nice white wine... delicious Thai food... some shots and of course, great company. In that moment, time stood still. Between the laughs, I stopped for a moment. To appreciate the feeling of joy, of genuine happiness and indulgence. Brunch ended up being a five-hour boozy brunch and it was careless. It was two ladies that were extremely passionate and ambitious in life, who forgot for a moment that it was Sunday. Well, forget is actually not the correct term to use. It would be LIVED Sunday to its fullest!

The Introductory to Life
I was loaded down with board meeting after board meeting. I decided to take a road trip to get away from the city, and my wife's attempts to destroy me. Alone time with an attractive view was exactly what I needed, so I packed a bag jumped in my vintage customize baby and took her for a ride through Highway 74 to San Juan Capistrano, California. Since the separation, I been having these reoccurring feelings like I was missing something. My wife usually checks for the small details before a trip; I wasn't smart enough to check the weather before getting on the road, and of course, it starts sleeting. These roads can be a bit tricky in this kind of weather, so I dropped my speed, 15 minutes into the trip out of nowhere, this biker begins to harass the tail of my car I was unable to get over so he can pass. I glanced at him through my rearview, he must not be from around here, or he would know these roads are dangerous when wet.

A Millennial's Comeback Story
"Sometimes you need to really get knocked down in order to truly know what your fight is." —Chadwick Boseman One of the worst things anyone can do is get stuck in their own mind. Yet I can’t ever seem to break the habit of overthinking. I spent the entire bus ride staring out the window lost in thought; five hours of thinking should lead to some kind of progress, right? If so, then I sure as hell wasn’t doing it right because I stepped off of that bus feeling exhausted and just as conflicted. From a span of between the last few months and the last couple of years, the road I found myself on proved intense and emotional. Have you ever watched your entire life just collapse before your eyes? God bless the egotistical because this is the most humbling experience they will ever have, and just like every other asshole, I have a decent sized hand in why it all went south…

Blink of an Eye
Here we are in March 2019. I find myself at a crossroads once again in my life. I was scrolling FB last night, only to find out another friend's spouse suddenly passed away at 52 years of age. It rattled me. They were waiting for retirement until they moved back to the coast. Retirement was going to be later this year. In the blink of an eye, my friend's life has been turned upside down, and at such a young age.
