Down, but not out of the picture. Fallen, but managed to get back up just to see the script for myself. When you are facing opposition, one of the greatest thrills of life comes in a form of karma. Most people look over such a supernatural trait. Once it comes into effect, the feeling is so surreal. Like gaining an opportunity when you felt the odds are against you. Karma reigns through the hardships, the problematic ordeals, and other forms of oppression that comes with standing for a true purpose. I have many stories to share about how karma is a beautiful thing.

Prime example occurred when I was in middle school. It was an easy going day, the sun was shinning and I was getting off the school bus. On my way home, these two teenagers walked up to me and asked “why I looked so tough?”. I suggested that its how I looked, because I always have a weird serious look that I cannot help. I paid the question no mind and turned around to continue walking, until I felt a hard thrust of wind against my chin. It was a flash and like that, I was stumbling trying to stand up on my staggering feet. I turned around with intentions of having a one on one. I was never a fighter and do not know of such abilities except what I seen on television. Two teenagers turned into a group of 5, I was outnumbered and clueless of what to do. I walked away and felt another sharp blow to my face. My glasses fell on the ground and the fist starting swinging all over my body.

Out of nowhere a car pulls up and a lady tells the young teenagers to leave me alone. The background consists of a classmate that I had a crush on telling the teenagers to leave him alone, while the guy hugged up on her egging on the chaos. The teenagers stood down and I got into the car of this complete stranger. She suggested that I should had gotten a rock or something to get the teenagers off of me, but the only thing to come to my mind was my funeral if I took that advice. I was dropped off at my house, with a concerned stepfather and mother. I did not say much until later, because I wanted to just go upstairs and forget about the woes of being outgunned in a Wild West situation. Within minutes, the same girl that was concerned for me would call to see how I was doing. “Not good but managing” I replied. She knew the guys and reached out to my step cousin to take care of the situation. I paid the idea no mind, because I was so scared of even the street location of where the incident happened.

Each day, I would take the “long way home”, just to avoid dealing with those kids again. Until one day in school, my best friend told me that the same boys that “jumped” me, ended up getting beaten to a pulp some bigger guys. A level of ease came down upon me, I finally can take the way I used to take to get home once again…but it would take another week for me to do such things.

Karma works in such a methodical pace that we can’t do much, but allow it to take toll on the enemies in your life. The people that slandered your name, cheated you, hurt you, and neglected you…they all have to deal with the maker of hardships. Right now, my wife managed to find another job in an instant after getting fired, but magically the lady she would had worked with found a way to get her job back. Let’s just say that a jealous fool is a blind one. So when it is all said and done, you can’t get rid of what you can’t kill spiritually. People who are special in their own way are apart of what makes karma excel.

We are so quick to want to take revenge in our own hands, instead of anticipating the end of the movie. Just when you think the antagonist going to walk away and credits roll. They end up experiencing justice and the ending becomes satisfying. When you deal with the issues that you can’t believe and demand justice, just remember the end of “Scarface”. The bad guy always lose in the end no matter how much hardship they cause.

That is the power of karma baby!
