He refrained from immediate action because urgency is foreign to God. He cannot be rushed, nor does He ever panic. Everything, even time itself, is subject to His divine control.

While Mary and Martha deemed Lazarus' illness an emergency, Jesus did not share this perspective. The omniscient God had everything under His sovereign control. The passage from Zechariah 1:8-11 further illuminates this truth. It depicts a vision of a man on a red horse among myrtle trees, accompanied by horses of various colors. When asked about their purpose, the response was profound: "These are those whom the LORD has sent to patrol the earth." The angels affirmed that they had indeed surveyed the earth, which was found to be peaceful and tranquil.
