I am very poor. I need money. What should I do?

By giving you one lac or two lacs you will not come out of poverty. Everyone feels poor when they compare to others.

If you really want to improve your situation then do following things:-

Leave this hope that someone will give you money without doing work.

If you have children provide them education, they will able to stand out.

Don't believe people easily because most of people use you when you are in trouble.

Atleast find some employment near your home so you can manage your daily expenses.

Don't try to follow shortcut for earning money it comes with lots of hard work, dedication and consistency.

Take calculate risk before starting any business. Don't put all fruits in one basket.

Be kind to every person who comes your way.

Even though you are poor, having education doesn't make u poor. So don't think like that. Since you posted this question in quora that shows u have enough education .use it in good way.

If possible take tutions, do small business or job. Earn money and support your family. And don't forget to study. Have dedication. If you are mentally strong, them you are one of the rich person. There are many famous personalities who started with nothing.

One of the great saying tells like its Not your mistake if you born poor , but if u die poor then only it's your mistake.

Believe you are rich.

Rich because you were born.

Rich because you survived this long.

Rich because you have internet access.

Rich because you can read and write.

Rich because you have something to give.

As soon as you believe in your own real wealth… bearing in mind many with money are not happy, you can go forth and radiate the energy that will in turn help you find security.

If you are capable of workin you could go to a place where they “work today, get paid today”. Some of them will have either proper clothing from donations or if the job calls for certain work attire, they should have it or know where to go to get them for free. Plus if you do a good job the day you work, they may ask you to come back. You just have to have the “want to”. Only “YOU” can make that decision. Trust me I know. IV been there and lived it. IV lost my home, my two children were takin from me, lost custody. Been addicted. Been a drunk. Been to prison. Dec 2006 I got out, and never looked back. Since then I got my very first DUI. Scared the shit outta me, humiliated myself. And now I just enjoy my grandkids. And screw everyone else. “YOU” gotta choose. Only “YOU” can. Justs takes that first step, one foot in front of the other. And always remember, no one is better than you. You are just as great as they are. “YOU” are worth it.

Being poor is not an abnormal phenomenon rather it is widely apparen all over the world, and also it is quite complex subject to handle. There has been a long debating issue whether poverty is relative or it is a state of mind, condition and lack of opportunities.For example, you are a person with no food, no house, no money in your pocket or account, you are like a street dweller ( in villages people own houses thatched, kachcha pucca, even some land as well but yet poor) but if you get a job with sustainable salary. Immediately bank will open your account and after a month you will be in a situation to live comfortably and thus, your poverty is gone forever. However, in a case if you start drinking alcohol, visiting bar casino and pubs and your expenditure excesses your income you will be poor in the next month. So, poverty also is a kind of bad management of your income and expenditure.

In my opinion, if you are poor, Indian government must be giving you free ration, free health, and a particular months in a year job guarantee under JRY. I think your poverty is comparative, so, whatever money you earn from the JRY start your small business like selling vegetable, socks, vendoring and other such small ventures up to year, and report to me after a year.
