How to use Mindfulness as a substitute to "Augmented reality"
How Mindfulness can help you in your day to day life?

The world is going through some cycle. Everybody has their own take on what might be the reason deep down. There are all types of conspiracy theories suggesting all sorts of things. Some blame elites, other blame poor, and most blame government. Call it whatever; labels are only manifestation of underlying cause to project the internal frustration and hatred on one thing or other. Evil doesn’t exist out in the nature except for the nature of human. Then again we are all prone to exploitation of our true nature; we often get confused and can get easily distracted. We are not perfect.
We are lacking basic education on how to live a life even though we have collected bookish knowledge on a particular field of expertise in conjunction to our specific field of professional work and we act out of that incomplete and mostly delusional knowledge and most people want to dictate others on what is right and what is wrong but that’s mere reflection of their own limitations. For example a new Doctor would get confused into identifying ailments through his knowledge when the ailment could be just the outcome of having a poor life style and lack of exercise, poor diet, poor motivation and so on or an auto mechanic would only try and repair the part that is damaged when the problem could be just poor driving skills.
Now, don’t get me wrong I am not some anti-institution, hysterical, narcissistic, schizophrenic, doomsday conspiracies palter. I possess a Master’s Degree in Computer Science myself and I am specialized in the field of “Applications of Computer”. What I am trying to say here is that Education in specific fields may make you usable in one or two domains only but it will keep you cut from the other things that comprises the more wholesome parts of life and consciousness.
I have been practicing Buddhist form of meditation for over 5 years now (on and off) that basically includes “Vipasana” and “Mindfulness”. I also try other forms of Buddhist meditations too and try to integrate them in practical ways rather than just sitting on a pillow to chase the “bliss”. At least a lot of people think that way about Buddhists that whatever Buddhists do is just a thing to generate the bliss and drown in it and forget about the obligations of life and the hardship. This is far from reality since Buddhists see both “negative” and “positive” aspect of life as part of life and neither is “good” or “bad” it’s just is. Buddhist monks do a lot of good work for the society and people in general. Lifestyle of a monk in today’s time is a lot of work in itself. What Buddhists doesn’t do is they don’t complain like average people and that make certain people think that their lives are all “blissful” from their own narrow point of view.
Don’t get me wrong again I am not a monk, I am far from it. I am not here to praise the monks or spread the words of “Buddhism”. I am here to only share my own personal experience and explain to those who can utilize this knowledge for their own good doesn’t matter what their religious stance is, which political group they are subscribed to or even if they believe in God or not. If you breathe you are good to go, do it to believe it and you’re free to stop at any time. Personally I just do it for the betterment of my own life process without any religious reason what so ever.
What is this Mindfulness thing?
A lot of people confuse mindfulness with “it sounds like something Indian; I think Buddhists follow this, I am not Buddhist or Indian why do I need to do their thing bruh”? or “I am not religious, not my thing sorry.” Or “I can’t meditate not my personality type” and so on. Although Buddhists and Hindus coined this term but mindfulness is not something “religion” or “race” specific.
Mindfulness means to be aware of your own self and to the surroundings. When we are anxious, depressed, sad, hateful, angry, and so on. We get consumed by just one thought or fixate on only one aspect of any adverse situation and tend to either not care or willing discard all other aspects of reality. This disconnection from the reality makes us delusional. We act out in unwholesome ways out of this temporary curtain of delusion on our mental field. This usually makes us land in situations which have either immediate or long term problems. For example if we drive and somebody accidentally or on purpose cut our lane some of us tend to lose all the control and this in turn can be an immediate problem to them if they got into a brawl or the police can take you to the jail and file some charges. Now that’s just one scenario this can be seen in a variety -of other ways in different-different situations. One can ask that’s alright but what about the person who cut the lane at the first place didn’t he cut the lane? Well yeah that person wasn’t being mindful and he did that act for whatever reason how you behaving the same way or in retaliation to it makes any difference?

Mindfulness is not to advocate somebody else’s ethic or morality, it’s not even about their actions or inaction. It is not about them what so ever. It’s for you and you only. Just imagine another scenario in context with same issue. If a driver cut the lane and you got into a brawl with him and for some odd reason somebody else did the same again and they did it one more time at some other highway some other place for something entirely different how many such drivers can you defeat with aggression?
Mindfulness is not even for the sole purpose of making you non-aggressive or epitome of morality and ethics. It’s for you to be in your own serenity and on a shorter as well as longer term has your life properly lived without anger issues, and wasted time in trivial things that are not going to serve you.
Mindfulness is not a remedy to cure somebody either although anybody can use mindfulness to manage and heal their ailments by simply aligning to the wholesome ways of life and living. The practice of mindfulness is to live a life in a better way without compromising the quality of life over trivial things such as hate, greed, anger and so on.
Benefits of Mindfulness
Decreased depression
This is almost the immediate benefit that you’re going to experience once you start practicing mindfulness mediation. In the field of modern medicine science depression is seen as something with brain chemistry which is not wrong by any means but that is just effect of something else. In today’s time we are all being bombarded with all sorts of advices, opinions and methods down the line it makes the problem worse not better and we get lost in these concepts of how life should be. Mindfulness helps you to live a life in the way it should be naturally rather than chasing after a certain aspect of life in certain materialistic form. Mindfulness teaches you to be mindful first so that later on you won’t have to regret if things didn’t go your way later on. Hence everything is direct and free from delusions, disappointments and excursiveness. This thing alone manages and even eliminates the cause of depression to begin with.
Increased emotional intelligence and regulation
“Vipasana” form of meditation facilitates you to introspect whereas Mindfulness helps you with inspection of external world. It’s more of awareness than inspection if you ask me. You get aware of your reality and surroundings and find ways to be in peace with it without alteration or distortion of the reality and your own mental and bodily functions. When you’re in peace within yourself and the surroundings you don’t need augmented reality or things of that nature to live a better life. When you are in peace with yourself and your surroundings you don’t get overwhelmed by unwanted emotions and hence the emotional intelligence increases many folds at the same time you grow emotionally strong and the emotions work for you, not of against you.
Better memory
When you’re mindful with your surroundings you tend to remember better with less distraction because of underlying stress, depression and so on. You make wholesome memories that sustains for longer time and when you’re mindful you recall things easier without effort and distortion.
Less stress and anxieties
We tend to get worried about things when we are lacking the understanding on a situation, we create scenarios in our head and this leads to further the worries and anxieties than eliminate them. When we are mindful we accept the situation in its current form without exaggeration or negligence. We stay in the moment without delusion or illusion this builds confidence and removes worries and anxieties from the root.

Mindfulness is nothing but acceptance of our reality in its true form and when we live in reality in its true form everything is beautiful and everything is supportive. The wholesomeness of living a life in the moment is way more impressive and useful than any augmented reality.
