Is your life slipping away from you? Are you so preoccupied with achieving your goals that you've lost sight of the importance of living in the now and being content with where you are and what you have?
If you are anything like the majority of individuals who have a burning passion and vision to accomplish anything, you may find yourself slipping into the trap of being so focused on it that you fail to appreciate and appreciate each and every step of your road to achieving your objectives.
So it is that we frequently get so preoccupied with our ambitions and the perfect life we want to live in a year or five years that we lose sight of the present. Today is an important part of the journey to get there, and today should be appreciated just as much as when 'that moment' arrives. After all, the enjoyment of traveling does not come from reaching the end goal but rather from soaking in all that happens along the road.

How many times have you been frustrated because you were not progressing rapidly enough toward your goal, and as a result, found yourself not completely enjoying the present moment? It's as if something is preventing you from experiencing happiness until you have what you seek. The only issue with this scenario is that you are miserable in the meanwhile, and life is passing you by as you try to figure things out.
Unlike money or social success, happiness is a state of mind that has nothing to do with one's disposition. The appropriate formula may be learned and used by anybody who chooses it, who wills it, and who learns and implements the right formula can become a happy person. That is the counsel given by Norman Vincent Peale, known as the "Father of Positive Thinking."

Because of the simplicity of such a remark, the majority of people fail to recognize its relevance and accuracy. Even when the solutions to a lot of our issues are there in front of us, we insist on using a sophisticated formula to solve them. It is as simple as making a choice to be happy that the solution to the enigma of how to be happy lies. That is as straightforward and uncomplicated as I can make it.
Always keep in mind that there will always be things that go wrong and things that may disturb you or attempt to annoy you at certain points in your life. But the key is to make a decision that no matter what goes wrong and no matter how difficult things get, you will not allow anything to bring you down. There is one aspect of your life that you can always influence. That person is you. You have complete control over how you respond to any event.
A person who has unhappiness-producing behaviors can never be happy no matter how much worldly money and achievement they have accumulated. The upshot is invariably dissatisfaction and disappointment when the reality settles in that such a person, after years of pursuing pleasure via financial wealth, that it is not possible to acquire happiness in this manner is realized. Some have paid a high price in terms of shattered family connections in their pursuit of this dream. They have always had the capacity to be content with their lives. They simply weren't aware of it.

Being happy is just a matter of replacing unhappiness-producing behaviors with happiness-producing ones, which is an easy process. First and foremost, it is always necessary to alter your way of thinking and do. Positive ideas must be replaced with negative ones in order to rid yourself of feelings of discouragement, fear, melancholy, anxiety, and hatred in your life. For example, instead of hate coming to work every day, decide that you will like your job today and visualize yourself really doing so when you first get to your desk in the morning. When you anticipate the best, you are more than likely to get the greatest.
