Does Menopause or Andropause Soften or Strengthen Some of Us?
This Caterpillar eventually turned into a butterfly, at a cost. Was it worth the change?

Why is it named ‘Men-o-pause,’ for females, when it’s causing harm to many of us? Lol.
Men have caused a lot of harm to women and our world. Are they reminding us of the damage done to us by Men?
Could we think of a better name than ‘Meno’
Menopause is painful for women. I see the pain in Andropause that my husband is enduring. He says nothing, but I can feel and read the pain on his face, in his actions, choices, and decisions. It’s all emotional. I swear.
I’m fighting my emotions every day.
How I feel sometimes, and my life is pleasing to me, I can’t imagine the life of a woman whose life isn’t going as it should.
So, I began a study of all of the people I know personally who are enduring menopause and andropause. I realized that its emotional side effects can be a liability for some and an asset for others. This theory is based on how individuals live and think.
A positive mental and emotional health is an asset to aging and all of our life changes.
Paul used to be a guy no one walked on. He is a no-nonsense person and takes crap from no one. Throughout his life, he has consistently stood up for what he believes is right, earning him the respect of everyone who knows him. He picks up lots of enemies, too. He hits sixty, and all of that changed. It’s as if he has become a teenager without a sense of right or wrong. All of the morals and ethics that made him loved and respected seem to have disappeared. He no longer stands for anything positive or good. Anything and everything goes for him. His wife and children had issues with his new personality and began losing respect for him.
Lois allowed life and humans to walk all over her, dictating her life. They schemed, cheated, lied, and used her every chance they got. She was kind to everyone, and when she needed help, she had to pay the people she had been good to for the services she had given for free. She paid a hefty price for doing and being what she was raised to be and do by religion, culture, and parents. Menopause hits, and she no longer allows anyone to use her. She set boundaries and limits, stopping everyone from mistaking her generosity for stupidity. She fights back, stands up for herself, and gets lots of respect from everyone who thought she was stupid. Not even her husband and children cross the line with her. She became someone to be feared. She is happier, calmer, more relaxed, and doesn’t give a damn what anyone thinks of her.
This change doesn’t discriminate based on sex. Both males and females have their personalities exchanged or transformed, which helps some and hinders others. It’s healing some and harming others.
Menopause and Andropause change us, but can we, as humans, control the changes they impose? Can we alter how these hormones affect our bodies, minds, and actions?
Start paying attention to those around you who are enduring these harmful changes.
Fear is attached to some of us, as we have developed a stronger sense of self. Many eased back into themselves because of the fear of being called weak, burying other health issues with them.
Menopause and Andropause need understanding from everyone. Most of us will eventually reach this point and will require patience and understanding from life and humanity.
I am stronger, more assertive, and using common sense in everything I do. I refused to be used and abused any longer. Yes, menopause is improving my personality, but it’s still a fight because it’s messing up my short-term memory.
Being born into poverty, I already possess a fighting spirit, so I will continue to give the good I want.

My heart would say, life changes are necessary, and we must find a way to live with them.
Thank you for reading this piece. I hope you enjoyed it.
