Today you’re 23 years old and in the future you may be 30 years old, you may be 40 years old, you may be 60 years old or you may even be close to 90 years old. You get the idea. However, no matter what age you become to be as you surpass each year, remember who you are, never give up and never let your hopes down. Always keep moving forward each and every single day until the last. Remember things will get better! Here’s some ideas to keep you moving forward through the hard time’s: write in a journal just like you are today, on August 15, 2020. Try listening to different types of music,find you’re safe place. I would suggest watching a movie and no matter what age you become do your own make up, it’s relaxing! Basically, future me, there is so much out there in the world that you can do to get your mind off stuff no matter what it may be. I’m very excited to see what positivity will bring into your life as year’s pass by. Keep dreaming BIG! Keep going for things that make you happy because ultimately at the end of the day if you’re not happy NO ONE is gonna be happy for you.
Now future me, I want to let you know a little bit of how it is today. As I mentioned earlier it is August 15, 2020, we are now in our 3rd year of renting a one bedroom/one bathroom apartment. You have taken 2 trips out of state so far. We went to Laughlin, Nevada and Las Vegas, Nevada. It was the first RE-opening up in years since they had to shut down. The next day we decided to take a small ride over to Arizona. Once we got to Arizona we were headed to a Pub Restaurant, food looked absolutely amazing, but it looked empty. We parked, got out of the car and as we walked to the door, we saw a sign showing “Closed due to air condition not working”. I get it, it was hot! Get this though, we drove an hour an half just to get there! Mind you we were also dealing with COVID-19 right now. We are staying safe as best we can though from wearing masks to sanitizing and washing hands when we can. Instead of driving back so soon to our hotel room in Nevada, we decided to find a restaurant on yelp. SUCCESS! A delicious Chinese buffet, you can’t beat that! We went back to the hotel enjoyed the rest of our time gambling, winning and losing some, mainly winning! Our man enjoyed playing at the craps table. We definitely didn’t want to leave. Hubby’s thinking we should have a vacation home in Henderson, Nevada because it’s beautiful. I wouldn’t mind it! As we came back home babe went back to work full-time. I stayed home away from people often. I actually started writing again after so long of not doing so. Writing helps me let so much out, then you feel less stress. It feels amazing! I hope this gives you a little idea of what we’re dealing with today. I definitely can’t wait to tell you more future me since this is only the beginning...
I want to thank everyone who took the time out of the day and read this short self story. Our last story so far hit 35 reads as of August 19, 2020. I’m excited to see where this journey will bring us. So much positivity and love!

Her Name Is Brittany
Her Name Is Brittany. She is 23 years old and is born and raised in Orange County, Ca. She loves music, makeup, fashion, family and friends. She’s a bubbly, funny girl. Don’t be fool by her looks though she is a bit crazy. She’s very outspoken and doesn’t really like to speak about politics. She loves everybody and also tries to learn new languages. She graduated at an independent studies high school with barley little to no friends. She was honored as valedictorian as she did finished with Honors and A’s. She has an amazing support system when she was at school. She hopes to finish and get a degree in business. As well as she hopes to open up her own one day, it would be a cosmetology school. Hard work and dedication SHE WILL get there! She grew up in a rough family. So much yelling , so much fighting, it would physically and mentally drain her, but She was strong enough to get out at 16 and find a job, find her self. A job that took great care of her. Her family didn’t like the thought of her being on her own, the thought of her having her own freedom without them. There was so much drama that she had to deal with growing up and luckily that never got to her. She had to deal with not seeing her siblings as often or not even at all at times because of threats, Temporary restraining orders, cops being called for no reason. Eventually later in life her father and stepmother opened up and let Brittany back in knowing she isn’t what’s wrong. Her siblings just loved her. She didn’t have to beg because she was herself the entire time and she knew who she was exactly. She found someone who cared not long after she found herself, as years past they’re both still together. She finished high school with him by her side. Did I mention she graduated with a diploma and was honored as valedictorian, spoke in front of everybody!? She was really nervous. She did it! As she grew with her love, they rented a place of their own, called HOME. It’s now been going on 3 years of renting their own apartment. They save all the time so hopefully one day they are able to either buy their dream home or even maybe built their own from the ground up. Slowly they bought stuff for their apartment as days grew it became even nicer. Her love got a raise, he got promoted and got another raise. With that step in life for her love he felt he had to go out and get a degree and even a license for hvac... why not right? He loves working out in the field! She’s excited to see her man succeed in front of her eyes. He is her biggest support system as she is his! They been together for going on 9 years. They plan on getting engaged and maybe even think about when to bring a baby in this world together. She is worried because of what’s going on with the world and covid-19, but She cant wait to see what’s next. TO BE CONTINUED.....

Nobody Abandoned Me — I Just Quietly Left
Nobody abandoned me. I just quietly left. That is the version of the story that sounds simplest, almost harmless, when said out loud. It avoids blame. It avoids drama. It avoids the uncomfortable task of explaining how a person can be surrounded by others and still feel completely unseen. But simplicity does not mean the truth is small. Sometimes it just means the truth learned how to stay quiet.
