2 Months and 4 Days

I accompanied my dad to a fourth of July house party. As we were in route to the location, there was the biggest, brightest, and most colorful rainbow that I had ever seen. The rainbow literally saturated the sky from one side to the other. The very first thing I said was, "Daddy, look!" My dad said, "Hhmmmm that one is really bright."

Once reaching the party, it was really nice to see old family and friends. Everyone was having an amazing time and people were still coming in. As the storm door opened, there he was. Our eyes locked. It felt like our bodies were magnets pulling one another to each other. I had not seen him since we were kids. We grew up playing together. Decades later we crossed paths on that 7-4-2018. It was love at first sight. We remanised and exchanged contact information.

From that day to the last time I heard his voice, we were inseperable. When he softly touched my face, gently kissed my forehead, and whispered in my ear words I had never heard, I knew this was the time allowing us to experience perfect and unconditional love. We talked at least seven times a day and every day was magical. There were times I saw a glow on his face and illumination of light around his entire body. I knew immediately this was something much bigger than the both of us. I knew there was a message in it all. Those closest to him had not seen him this happy in 10 years. Those closest to him shared with me that he had gone through a really rough time and needed some encouragement to not give up on his hopes and dreams.

Some said "SLOW DOWN" and take your time. Others said, "Go for it". He was the most beautiful energy as a human being that I had ever encountered. He was very rare, kind, caring, thoughtful, selfless, and gentle. He was my best friend. I just knew I had finally found the one.

I remember spending late nights talking and laughing about everything. I knew immediately his love for me was limitless. I shared all of my dreams and desires as so did he. I remember he mentioned having this little black book full of resources that he wanted to share with me. I never gave it a second thought. What we experienced was nothing short of a fairytale.

With the beautiful and sweet treasures you placed in my heart, it's comforting to know you are right here with me Forever. I never imagined 8-8-2018 at 1:40 am would be the very last minute I would hear your sweet soothing voice. I feel your soft, gentle love around me even before I call out to you. I am pleased and at peace that you were ushered back into the arms of rest with dignity, hope, and respect. I know we will find each other again and finish what we started. Forever is a long time and that's how long I will Forever love you.

I understand the message now. The rainbow was a sign that you were the chosen one that I would be used to encourage you and give you hope. I was given that little black book after you transitioned. Three years later I finally opened it. Resources that could help me fulfill my dreams along with $20,000 in cash were inside that little black book held together with rubber bands. I know that was you still loving and providing for me even from the grave. I love you.
