Rest, Relaxation & Resolutions
Now I don't know about you but if I had the option, I would throw 2021 into the bin. An absolute trash year. I've been dealing with it all this year: COVID life, heartbreak, work-related stress, I'm 21 and found my first grey hair, and above all of that I have not been prioritising resting my body.

As a Content Creator and Blogger, chances are that you have a million things going on in your life and trust me technology is not going to get slower from here. You have your blog and other social media platforms to keep up with on top of a small business or a 9-5 job, a social life, a home you have to clean and all other prior commitments. Don’t even get me started on the to-do list that’s been pending on your desk. But having said all that, where does self-care come in?

The Radical Act of Self-Acceptance
I undressed for bed and looked at myself. Really looked. Why are hotel lights so unforgiving? I saw a bloated stomach from the evening meal, bulges under bra straps, thighs with slightly dimpled skin. And my pores … I hadn’t noticed how big they’d gotten, or how dull my hair looked in the light.

The Beginning of a New Fitness Journey
"You may not be there yet, but you are closer than you were yesterday." Day 1: As I am writing this the day is December 2nd 2021. I know, pretty bad time to start considering its the month of the holidays. Normally I would agree, but now I believe anytime is a good time to start when you truly want to do something. Through this process of figuring out how I am going to get back into working out I have started to realize that this is the start of my new fitness journey. I keep comparing everything to where I was a few years back and every-time I do it discourages me from doing anything at all.

The Perfect Stick
Crocodiles have a design flaw. If insects bite a croc in the middle of the back, the crocodile’s legs can’t reach that spot to scratch. March Flies in the Northern Territory exploit this, stabbing into the soft parts between the impenetrable, shell-like, outer casing of a crocodile.

Waistline: The Eternal Struggle
If you’re like me, you’re one of the millions of people who struggle with their weight. And, if you’re like me, you dread going to the doctor’s office because you know you’ll inevitably hear some variation of the message, “Hey, lose some weight, fat ass!”

Don’t be Offended — Why You Should Chill
People are always so ready to be offended. Today someone on twitter said she was inexplicably blocked by an acquaintance. I replied, “Well that’s odd. I’ve never spotted you being the least bit controversial, political, or anything that might rub anyone up the wrong way.”

Here’s Why You’ve Been Missing Out On Great Sleep: 6 Benefits Of A Hybrid Mattress. Created with: Lull.
When it comes to sleep, I don’t mess around. My bedroom is my sanctuary and getting into bed after a long day is something I look forward to probably more than I should admit. But it wasn’t always like that. I spent so many years of my life being a “bad sleeper” and never really knowing why. I blamed my lack of good sleep on my night owl tendencies and my so-called insomnia. In my early 20s, I’d sometimes lie awake until 3 or 4 in the morning because my mind and my body could never sync up and allow me to get comfortable enough to sleep. I knew my lack of quality sleep wasn’t good for my health and I tried almost everything on the market to improve my sleep. From different supplements, sleep gummies, essential oils, weighted blankets, sleep masks and even white noise machines, I literally tried it all. Little did I know, I wasn’t addressing the root of the issue — my mattress.
