Stress Adding Weight?
One of the biggest problems we face, whether we are male or female, is our body image. They are constantly changing and adapting. At some point in our lives, probably many times throughout the days, we think about what we eat, or maybe we don’t think about it and we just eat to eat. We stress about looking good, being sexy, skinny, muscular or whatever you want. We try so many things in order to make our dream bodies a reality and the majority of the time we are still dissatisfied with the results and what we see in the mirror.

Low carb, high fat, vegan, keto, vegetarian, etc...what do they all have in common? Proponents of this diet all believe that their way of eating is the superior choice for weight loss. Low carbs advocate that a higher fat diet will lead to a unlimited stream of fat that will just fall off the body. Low fat dieters will claim that dietary fat is the culprit for their muffin tops. Who is right you may ask? Well, both! The premise behind every fat loss plan is to reduce calories to where you are burning more than you are consuming each day. This will ultimately result in a shrinking waist line and smaller jeans.

It Will Work!
So I have had a lot of trouble with this in my years of college. I know what you are thinking, though: "I've tried everything and nothing works." I have too. But this semester I just had the mindset that "I'm going to lose weight." That's what I did. Most of it is the mindset. You have to believe in yourself or you are just going to give up the second that you don't see any differences. I used to think that if I just work out every day, I will lose weight. That's not the case. I haven't had a really hard workout in forever. You can't just workout and not change diet. You have to change your diet as well.

How I Lost 70 Pounds
Many people don't believe you can lose so much weight in less than a year, and honestly, I didn't believe it either. Growing up, I was tiny, barely had any fat on my body. When I got to the age 13, I started gaining weight once I found out I was lactose intolerant. Some people were confused because if I wasn't able to consume any dairy, how would I be gaining weight? I didn't understand it much either, but as time went on and I got older, I just learned to accept it. I didn't gain a lot of weight, but to my doctor and myself, I was overweight.

When you attempt to lose too much weight too quickly, you burn fat and muscle. When you burn muscle, you slow down your metabolism. This makes it harder to burn fat at rest. Long term it is not a good idea to lose too much weight too fast.
