Bridge: a Bridge to Rich Retirement
What a great subject this challenge is! Full disclosure: I am a co-founder of Seniors Junction (www.seniorsjunction.com), a startup that advocates, researches, and delivers serious or purposeful leisure activities to prevent seniors isolation and to help those of us who are seniors to live richer, more rewarding, autonomous lives of purpose and social connectedness. As a retired widower, I am (or was) at high risk for social isolation and the consequences of it, known to be more dangerous to health than obesity or smoking. Add grief to the mix and look out! I’m a good example--after my wife died I had chronically high blood sugar and three major heart attacks, the third one almost fatal.

Mental illness And Our Behavior

Start using On the other hand, our attitude towards mental illness is quite the opposite. We also shy away from acknowledging the fact that many or some of our behaviors are inappropriate, harmful and irrational as a result of a mental illness or psychological problem within us. Intense and unspoken anger, undue sensitivity, emotionality, depression and countless other problems like these become part of our personality and on the one hand spoil our impression in the society and on the other hand they cause our mental condition and abilities. But there are also very negative effects. Not only that. These conditions can also seriously affect our physical abilities if they continue unabated. But we stuff up our devastation and watch the spectacle, but avoid going to psychologists saying it would be a confession of being mentally ill, which is nothing short of abusive to us. If someone draws our attention to these ailments and advises us to consult a psychiatrist, we consider it our greatest disrespect and consider the counselor as our enemy. Another extreme and dangerous trend in this regard is that superstitious people resort to fake legs and agents, believing that many psychological problems are due to the effect of witchcraft, ascension and shadow of evil. As a result, these people lose their money and if they are women, sometimes they lose their dignity.

Zen Mowing
I love those lines. Those long, almost silver, lines, snuggling up to the green. There is something about the way the sun hits the colors, reflecting the almost otherworldly splendor to the eye. Looking at this simple work of art, I feel a comfort, a peace, a sense of “completeness”. Creating this art unlocks the Zen in my mind, allowing the peace of the universe to flow into my soul. When I am in creator mode, my soul has a purpose; a simple idea that takes skill, concentration, patience, and sunscreen.
