I Must Make the Changes...
We have all made New Year resolutions, I'm sure! Well, not me this year! No New Year Resolution, no promises of losing weight and eating healthily, no dry January, or February, and definitely NO guarantees to be happier or loving a new career path.

Diabetes Won't Win
In April 2020, during the lockdown, I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Due to the lockdown, I was working from home and was inflicted with an abscess on my back that required a doctor's visit. During that visit, and in order to determine if there was an infection involved, the doctor did blood work, gave me an antibiotic and a reference to another doctor to get the abscess removed. That was a Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday late morning, my doctor called me with the news of my Type2 Diabetes. My blood sugar was over 600 (dangerously high) and he wanted me back in the office the next day.

Gone With The Chemicals
Gone with the chemicals, gone with the wind that brings them to our land. Gone with the materials that bring disease, irritation and threaten our lives. We have become the product of a society that no longer cares for its peoples’ health, yet would fight you for a few extra quid. There is no escaping the unpronounceable ingredients in our toothpaste, our cleaning products, our shower gels and shampoos. How do we escape such a world?

Anywhere I Am Free
The coziest spaces I've ever been in are always places where I personally feel the most freedom, or they are places that are getaways (even brief ones) from the increasingly harsh reality we all live in. That being said, I have a lot of places I consider to be quite comfortable spaces--these include my current bedroom living situation (I still live with my folks currently, though I have plans to eventually get moved out hopefully within the year), to friends' and family I visit, to the living space I dream about and eventually plan to have, to the dreams I dream at night, and finally to the books I read and video games I play. Each and every one of these types of spaces I consider comfortable and cozy for their own reasons.

I have a surprise for you. I'm a 45 year old attractive single mother of 2 children. I have a job where I make a decent living. I live without external supports. I own my own car. I homeschool my children while working full time.....I also have an autism diagnosis. Unless you really know me...you'd never guess.
