100 Days Without Alcohol- Challenge Completed! Pt. 2
So as I mentioned in Part 1, it’s crazy in hindsight to think I managed to complete a 100 days sober. I guess I’m learning that most things that seem crazy are simply difficult but all together possible and not crazy at all. Throughout this challenge I’ve shared my insights as it’s progressed, hoping to inspire others to do the same or at least question their relationship with alcohol. The whole experience has had a positive and profound impact on me, as I’m sure this record has demonstrated. In part 2, even so close to the end, I faced further challenges. You’ve made it this far with me (and if you’re just joining you’ll find all posts in this series linked at the end), so let’s get to the end of this thing together.

100 Days Without Alcohol- Challenge Completed! Pt. 1
Well I can honestly say that me 8 months ago would not have predicted attempting the 100 day sober challenge, let alone completing it. And yet here I am, having successfully run through the finishing line ribbon. The road has been long, difficult and, spoiler alert, absolutely worth it. Anyone who knows me would be forgiven for having had their doubts. It’s the first challenge I’ve completed of its kind in my adult life, save perhaps when I was prepping for my MMA fights. I am not someone who barely drank and for whom this challenge was an easy adjustment. Neither am I someone who had hit rock bottom and had no choice. I, like most people for whom drinking is the norm, didn’t know if it was possible for me to go entirely without this most socially acceptable of drugs, and questioned what that would mean for my life.
