Please Pause And Ponder Your Dreams
July 28 Monday Morning Huddle

Good morning and welcome to the July 28 edition of my Monday Morning Huddle! Today we explore the benefits of pausing to ponder dreams.
The photo above is one of my favorite places and a picture I've featured before in my weekly series. Revisiting holds great personal meaning and is one I felt compelled to share with readers. Taken two years ago, the pond is located at the back of one of my previous hotel jobs. I used to arrive at work early to see the sunrise over the water and quietly sit enjoying nature's wakeup as dark became light.
Reflecting on troubles, finally making sense of what otherwise often felt like nonsensical situations, brought me peace.
And peace permitted me to dream.
To think one location kickstarted poetry, fueled ideas for articles, and showed me inklings of my imagination that I was unaware of, surely is a keepsake. A keepsake so near and dear that my cover photo has become the centerpiece of the project I mentioned in last week's huddle.
More about that in a minute, but for now, as experience has been such a rewarding factor in my life, I want the same for anyone and everyone willing to follow my sound and simple advice.
Please pause and ponder your dreams
Maybe it sounds silly or obvious, or perhaps just another tried but not true occurrence.
Well, to that I say: Do it anyway, or try again!
I've enjoyed nature since I was a little girl, and surely I've seen plenty of ponds, but something about this particular one drew me in and drew me in deep.
Magick via nature; a wand of wonder waiting for you, and you needn't always know where or how enchantment might capture you. For me, it's the stillness of the pond. Depth below the surface, rising above and beyond.
Dare to dream and do it often. Life is not only about your career, your familial responsibilities, the sacrifices you make to help others, or the countless list of other human-focused obligations.
I said it before and will continue to say it over and over; you are a spiritual being living in a physical body, therefore, you must honor both.
Visit that pond you always pass by or discover a new one. Take a walk, take a drive, take public transportation if you have to.
Sit, observe the still water, sit with your thoughts, but do not worry. Instead, find meditation in the pool of water surrounding you. Tree reflections, pondlife chatter, the many hues of green and blues. Notice it all. Take it in like the breath of fresh air you know you need.
Refresh your soul, be made whole once more, and dream, just dream.
Pause from the rat race, pause from the chaos, pause from all things related to disarray, and reunite with dreams- those forgotten, those from childhood, and those yet to be born.
Ponder your dreams, permitting them to pulsate within a pause.
After all, life begins with a pulse; bring new meaning to yours today.
Revealing My Dream Journal

My first dream journal went live this morning. This is my first; another should be going live anytime now, and I will publish at least one more version of my nature-inspired dream journals.
I am giving away 5 copies of my journal (yes, free) to the first 5 takers. Simply comment with interest below. I will reply with my email address so the place of shipment can be worked out.
Please leave a review on Amazon if you like your journal!
Podcast news
Delayed another week, folks, and because of a stupid oversight. I have a home office and my smoke detector has been going bonkers for a while now (needs new batteries), but ding dong here keeps forgetting to tell the landlord. My adult kids, son-in-law, and my sister have all been reminding me.
Yes, I get so caught up in my creative world that I can block out the beeping.
Yesterday, I was set to record my first podcast, and guess what happened?
Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep....
Sigh...
Needless to say, I should have listened to everyone and gotten on it straightaway.
The issue will be resolved within the next day or two, and then showtime, it is, for my Monday Morning Huddle podcast, an extension of my year-long Vocal Media creative project.
****
Well, that's all I have for this edition. Have a fantastic week, whatever it is you are doing, and don't forget to pause...
Your dreams are waiting for you!

Hahahahahhahahahaha you called yourself a ding dong! But let me introduce you to a bigger ding dong: ME! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I do ponder a lot, but not necessarily about dreams. Or shall I say I daydream a lot. Nature ain't my thing so I usually daydream while driving, or staring my wall. Daydreaming is my default mode to exist, lol. As for the dream journal, I'm not the journaling type, so I'll leave that for who really needs it I hope you get your smoke detector fixed soon hehehe
You had me with that alliteration in the title, haha! Wonderful Huddle as per usual, Marilyn! I went looking to see if the podcast was attached before reading (that damn smoke alarm, lol). Pondering dreams - something I've done a lot of recently... not sure where it's taking me tbh. Huge congrats on the release of the Dream Journal!! I am interested, but I could just buy a copy (if it'll help support you). As always, hope you have a wonderful week, Marilyn!
This is wonderful Marilyn. Thank you for this. This is something I needed to read. I am going to give myself the opportunity to dream today and dream regularly. Today I’m going to take a walk to my local park and sit there on the bench and just breathe and enjoy And dream. I like this idea of the Monday morning huddle. Thank you again!
