How Jonathan Van Ness Became a Role Model
I'm a huge Queer Eye fan. I follow all five of the current #FabFive on Twitter (except for #KaramoBrown, who left Twitter amid backlash he received following comments he made regarding #SeanSpicer). I've seen all four seasons of Queer Eye repeatedly on Netflix; it's my second favorite show to watch to unwind after RuPaul's Drag Race, and I've seen several appearances made by Tan (France, fashion expert), Antoni (Porowski, food expert), Karamo (culture expert), Bobby (design expert) and Jonathan (Van Ness, grooming expert) on various talk shows. I love the group's chemistry and how genuinely invested they are in their "heroes." I also love the genuine affection they all seem to have for one another; in a world which sometimes feels as though it's gotten exceedingly negative, seeing these five men being open to their experiences and to how they feel about each other is just something really powerful to witness.

The Sith Lord with Impeccably Shaved Legs
Depression is like that old friend that has never left my house, is eating all my food, and refuses to contribute to maintaining the upkeep of this vessel we both share (such as showering). But, that old friend has been around so long, would I know how to live life without him? I mean, I don’t really remember the times before he showed up, it’s been so long ago. I see other people around, extremely happy and content with their life, and, sometimes, I’ll say to myself, “Wow, was my life ever like that? Was I ever so content that I smiled without force? I certainly don’t remember it being that way,” but then, I’ll stop myself and think, “Is it a lot of work being that happy? It must be! I don’t have the energy for that. And what would I do if I wasn’t constantly battling the darker forces of my mind? I mean, if you think about it, I’m kind of like a Jedi on the edge of becoming a Sith Lord! Isn’t that much cooler?” And when I think these things, I know my old pal, Depression, is scared I’ve grown tired of him living rent-free in my head this long.

If you visit the physical therapist, he or she can teach you how to maintain the optimal posture, but it is quite difficult to sit or stand properly the whole day. Do We Actually Give a Damn?!
I cannot help but wonder if we as a general populace actually care about ourselves... In specific, I’m referring to our health, as I see more and more people becoming ill, health declining, doctors and hospitals constantly backed up, mental health diagnoses becoming more frequent, children being diagnosed with depression, etc. I feel as though the only logical conclusion is that not enough people actually care about health.

Blurry Vision
Throughout our lifetime many of us will take eye health and clear vision for granted, it is only once our vision starts to degrade that we become acutely aware of just how important it is to our daily lives. If you find that you are experiencing blurred vision in one eye or both, you are most likely suffering from a refractive error within the eye.
