Free Weekly Reading #50 Mirror Dragon Tarot
Free Weekly Reading #50 Mirror Dragon Tarot Each week when I do these readings I set up my reading space with black fabric, (for the photo, mostly but it also allows for a smooth, calm space to focus on the cards) make sure I have undisturbed quiet time; dogs are out, husband is at work/play/store/whatever, phone is off, etc… I begin with a quick grounding meditation and settle into a centered peace to ask for guidance in choosing the cards which will be most appropriate for the week ahead. I shuffle the cards with my intent in mind and spread them in a dealer’s “ribbon spread”. Then with eyes closed, I ask for the Center card, the West card and finally, the East card, reaching out to the spread, touching the cards and choosing the one that feels most fully under my finger tip, then sliding them into their positions. Before opening my eyes I return to a calm, centered state and do my best to sense whether the three cards I’ve chosen are the most fitting for the highest and best for all involved. Only then do I turn them face up and photograph them for the reading. There are times when I see the three cards before me and groan or breathe a sigh of relief but I always use the cards I’ve selected ”blindly”.

Protocol in Question
Just this past week, articles such as the BBC News, Billboard, The New York Post, The Chicago Tribune and many others have reported about ticketmaster's suggested Post-COVID screening framework. From the Billboard website article published by Dave Brooks on Nov.11, 2020, twice it has stated Ticketmaster's goal for anyone gaining entry into concerts. Unless attendees have taken the vaccine or have provided proof that they have been tested 24-72 hrs prior, they cannot be granted access into the concert event.

Experiencing 'Health Anxiety'
It’s worse at night. It’s 11pm, I’m lay in bed reading a book, alarm set for eight, and suddenly my brain connects my recent fatigue, a sore throat, and choking on the quorn nuggets I ate for dinner (which FYI are delicious) into a fear that I may have some sort of incurable cancer. I open google, which is never a good thing yet I convince myself I’m being responsible checking on my health, and my mind spirals out of control when the symptoms I’ve been experiencing lead me onto the NHS page for oesophagus cancer. I’m overwhelmed, scared, panicked. I need someone to help me stop this disease but the doctors aren’t open, nobody is awake, nobody can help. What if the endoscopy I had 6 months ago missed something? What if I’ve been ignoring symptoms and it’s too late? What if the doctor won’t send me for tests due to coronavirus?

Ahimsa
Earlier this year I found myself in a great conflict, in a type of depression that I did not think I would be able to get out of. This has been a very stressful year for so many and most of us are just trying to get by and figure out a way to make the best of it. What pulled me out of my funk and brought me back to accepting this reality and shifting the focus inward, was my studies on The Eight Limbs of Yoga. These steps can be interpreted in various ways to fit your life, to give you a goal and something to look forward to! The Eight Limbs of Yoga are essential guidelines or commandments that push us towards self enlightenment. The first limb in this path is called the Yamas; the relationship with ourselves and others and how we see or interpret them. We begin this journey with testing our boundaries and ability to shift towards a more positive and purposeful life. The Yamas are composed of five smaller limbs, the first one being Ahimsa. The act of Ahimsa is taking the path of nonviolence towards others, the self and in our daily activities!

Paganism Found Me
I previously wrote an article called “A Church of Abusers” (feel free to check out that article also), talking about my experiences in the christian church and with christianity in general. I briefly mentioned in that article that I am now a pagan witch and that being on this path has helped, not only my mental health, but helped me discover who I truly am.
