Good morning, and welcome to part two of my autumn Monday Morning Huddle series, Salem Spirit! Today, I close out September with a spiritual message from Ropes Mansion & Garden. Also featured are photographs, taking you on a mini-tour of the beautiful Salem landscape, which reveals its captivating appeal, encouraging you, the reader, to tap into personal downloads that may emerge while observing one of nature's gems.

What are downloads?

Spiritually speaking, downloads are sudden bursts of insight, ideas, thoughts, feelings, and urges to take action that arise during specific circumstances, events, or particular surroundings. These downloads are thought to bring clarity and expand the limits of personal knowledge.

Think of a spiritual download as an out-of-the-blue text from someone, information suddenly dropped in one's lap.

By defining the process, I aim to provide not only a sense of how I receive spiritual messages, but also to encourage the reader's self-development by becoming more aware of personal surroundings, especially while in nature. I believe that all humans receive messages, insights, or downloads, if you will, from a higher source, but all too often, our physically focused lives blind us to this inherent gift, one that can be unwrapped with focus and practice.

I hope this bit of information was helpful. Now, let's grab some elephant ears and listen to September's closing spiritual message.

Elephant Ears (Colocasia esculenta) are tropical plants prized for their impressive foliage. With a shiny, often velvety surface, the leaves range from lime green to almost black (often called purple).

While exploring Ropes Garden, I noticed the Elephant ears from across the way and knew I needed to spend some time with them. Slowly, making my way, I snapped lovely photos of various gardenery, enjoying the mix of vibrant colors like mini tales, each unfolding, leading one step closer to the larger story and final narrative.

It was my first time in the presence of Elephant ears. I was entranced, overcome with such unexplainable joy, and began snapping pictures of the mighty green and purple ones from various angles.

And then came the downloads, which began, like I previously stated, sudden text messages from the universe.

Here is what I received:

  • Brighter days are soon to come
  • Inspiration to further my healing studies (Reiki)
  • Poetry from a higher source (let it flow)
  • Tears wash the spirit
  • Dream bigger without apology

Now onward to my channeled message ( comparable to a phone call)

You are precisely where you are meant to be at this time. It might not seem like it. It might not feel like it. It may feel illogical. When you stop questioning what, why, when, where, and how, the gifts come pouring in. Gifts surround you. They are ever-present. If only you'd sit and still your mind, still the chatter, still the physical noise, the already unwrapped offering becomes visible. And once you see, really see, all earthly struggles lose their weight. Nothing is a mistake, but rather an opportunity to step onto a new path. The path becomes clear with surrender. Surrender all of your woes and start trusting.

...

I spent some time sitting in Ropes Garden, allowing late September, early autumn's energy to envelop the entirety of my being. Not only did I feel the subtle shifts in the weather and the welcoming appeal of nature's arms, but I felt a spiritual upliftment, one I greatly needed, yet didn't realize how much so until I sat with spirit in Salem.

I hope you have enjoyed my mini photography tour of Salem's Ropes Mansion Garden. Also, I hope my channelled message, closing out September, inspires personal downloads. These downloads are accessible to all as part of our spiritual existence; however, sometimes, we get so caught up in our physical lives that anything spirit-related fades into a muddled background.

Perhaps practice is the best remedy, daily "self" time dedicated to developing the ability to hear messages from spirit. In reality, one doesn't need a big old pair of Elephant Ears to listen to the downloads; I simply wanted to get your attention. I want you to understand that spirit has much to say, and nature provides the ideal backdrop.

Listen in silence, and the noise will never sound the same again.

Have a happy Monday, everyone, and a beautiful week ahead.

As if nature could not impress us anymore than it already has. Went above and beyond again. Very nice photo Marilyn. Downloads. So thats what my experiences went I am out in nature, is called. I am always in awe when I see a leaf that is near black that it appears in the light, as purple. The download that stood out to me the most was this one. 'tears wash the spirit' And here is where I will say you've got a gift. This bit. 'still the noise...still the physical noise.' I could only write when I do all of these that you've listed. The same with when I am reading and commenting. Like right now. This is how I am able to leave these comments. Otherwise I am doomed and my responses are delayed. Oh my gosh. That red behind the pink. It's like they are all uplifting each other. Giving each other the spotlight. I felt like I was there. Thank you for the pictures. The format and layout was up there in standard. Oh I love this. 'listen in silence and the noise will never sound the same again'. I know exactly what this means. This was such an uplifting piece. I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you for inspiring us to listen for those downloads when we are out there in nature. 🤗❤️ 👏🏾👌🏾

Great beautiful photos. You might not think so, but I think your photos that you take would make a fine book. By the way those downloads you mention. I believe that is basically how I write my work. Good job.
