I Was One Handshake from Castro
It’s a commonly held perception that anyone is only six or less social links (degrees of separation) away from any other living person on this planet, whether it’s the President of Russia or one of the Kardashians, perish the thought. It’s also known as the six handshakes rule, although ‘rule’ seems a rather strange word in the context.

My Accident
It was a dreary, rainy evening. Even though official sunset was a good hour off, the sky was dark, and all of the cars had their lights on. It wasn't raining hard mind you, just enough to make you wish you had intermittent wipers. It had been raining for nearly a week. Cold, wet and windy pretty much describes the weather forecast on any given day. I left right on time, 5 PM. Usually I leave about 10 to 15 minutes early because I usually arrive 10 to 15 minutes early, but today the meetings and jobs ran right up to normal quitting time, so there I was, stuck with the other rats in the rat race for home.

Stream Of Conscienceness
My mom says we didn't evolve. But then, when I go for a walk and see a flock of geese calmly trotting beside the sidewalk, there's some part of me that wants to run at them screaming, with my arms flailing, just so I can see them all scatter in the face of my might.

Post Relationship Depression
It's been days since I've left the bedroom. I'm curled up on the bed trying to keep warm wondering how she's doing. I wonder if she ever thinks of all the damage and heartache we've been through and how she always started it all with her over the top dramatic outrages. I wonder if she's still blaming me for everything and avoiding taking responsibility for her behavior. Of course she hasn't. She's a narcissist playing the victim role and everything is always about her.

A French girl writing English fiction? N'importe quoi!*
I am still quite new to Vocal, and maybe so are you. So let’s get acquainted, shall we? Here, let me start: my name’s Claire Guérin (don’t worry about the accent on top of the e there), and I'm a writer. It feels strange to write this out loud, but I have a few stories on Vocal now, so there. I’m a writer, probably just like you, and I’m an aspiring author. If you want to know more about what I write, check me out on this and other platforms, and subscribe to my newsletter to know when my first novel comes out.

What is diet? How to diet to lose belly fat?
What is a diet? A diet is a pattern of eating that a person chooses to follow. It can refer to the specific foods consumed, as well as the frequency and quantity of those foods. Diets can be used for a variety of reasons, such as weight loss, weight gain, or to improve overall health. Different diets may have different guidelines, such as restrictions on certain types of foods, or specific macronutrient ratios.

Confession's of a Closet Writer
Moments: They say when you die you have seven minutes of brain activity left. And in those seven minutes you are shown play backs. Memories of your life; the good, the bad, the ugly. Moments of joy, happiness, and laughter. Now I'm not sure how you can fit a whole lifetime in just seven minutes but I guess we won't know until we get there. There are so many unanswered questions pertaining to death. But what about living? If I were to leave you today, could you promise me one thing? Would you dance like there's no tomorrow? Could you find the color in a black and white picture? Would you be willing to forgive the unforgiveable? Could you lend the broken a helping hand? Pet your dog as if it's the last time? Tell that one person how much they mean to you? Would you climb that mountain and scream at the top of your lungs? Or go to the ocean and learn to ride the waves? Would you hug all of your friends? Give your mother a kiss? Hold your newborn babies hand? And Lastly, If you were to be shown your seven minutes of life, would you ask yourself one thing: "Was it worth it?" Because from dust we are born and to dust we shall return and all we're really left with is well, Moments.

Remember the Self-Assessment Tax Return Deadline.
Gather all of your documentation and organise it. Be certain that all of your financial data, including records of sales and revenue, company costs, VAT data, PAYE documentation (if you employ someone), and personal income, is kept in the same area. This is an important step in maintaining accurate financial records.
