Recently, I discovered an online platform where anyone can publish blogs, articles, and other written content. I had been searching for such a platform for a long time, but only came across it a couple of weeks ago. The moment I found it, I jumped into action: I created an account, wrote my first story, edited and proofread it, and published it without delay. I can’t fully describe the joy I felt when I received the email saying, “Your story has been published.” It was like a dream come true. Since then, I’ve been regularly publishing my blogs. My friends, acquaintances, and even strangers have started reading them. Although the number of readers isn’t large yet, I’m happy with the few I have. I know that with time and experience, my audience will grow. In today’s blog, I’ll explain everything about this platform in simple, straightforward language—from creating an account to publishing your first blog. Why This Platform Is Special The best thing about this website is that it doesn’t charge you anything to publish. In fact, it pays you when people read your stories. If you’re passionate about writing and want to share your work with the world, this blog is especially for you. I’ll also explain the difference between an article and a blog. Let’s dive in. What Is a Blog? A blog is a written expression of thoughts, feelings, experiences, information, advice, or stories. Blogging doesn’t require strict rules—it’s a casual, friendly way to express yourself in writing. To put it simply, it’s like writing a diary, except you want others to read it. In a diary, your writing is private. In a blog, you share your thoughts with the world. A person who writes blogs is called a blogger. Bloggers write for websites, newspapers, and magazines. Blogs are usually written to entertain, educate, inform, or advise readers. There’s no strict word limit for blogs. They can range from 300 to over 2,000 words, depending on the topic and audience. Again, there are no hard and fast rules. What Is an Article? Articles and blogs are similar but not the same. Sometimes, the two overlap, but there are key differences. An article is more formal, objective, and informative. It follows a clear structure—introduction, body, and conclusion—much like an essay. Articles are written to educate, inform, or report, rather than to entertain. They include facts and evidence. Articles are typically longer than blogs, ranging from 1,000 words to several thousand. They’re written by professionals like teachers, journalists, professors, and scholars. A person who writes articles is called an article writer, author, or sometimes a journalist.In short: ➡️ A blog feels like someone talking to you. ➡️ An article feels like someone educating you. Where Can You Publish Blogs and Articles? There are many websites where you can publish your writing. Some charge a fee, while others are completely free. One of the best free platforms I’ve found is Vocal Media. It’s home to a large community of writers, artists, and readers from around the world. Thousands of people visit the site daily to read and write. If your story is engaging and has potential, it can go viral—and you can earn money in US dollars. For example, I saw a 7th-grade student from Peshawar earn $50 from one blog in just two days! The site pays around $3.50 for every 1,000 reads. Here’s how to get started. How to Create an Account on Vocal Media It’s very simple to create an account. All you need is: An email address An internet connection A smartphone or laptop Steps to Create an Account: Open Google Chrome (or any browser) on your device and search “Vocal Media.” Click on the official website. Enter your email and create a strong password. Vocal Media will send you a verification email. Open your email and click the verification link. Once verified, you’ll receive a welcome email confirming your account. Your account is now ready! Click the “Create a Story” button at the top right corner. Add your title, subtitle, and start writing your blog in the main body. You can also paste content if you’ve already written it elsewhere. Add a relevant image that matches your blog topic. You can use free image websites like Pexels.com or Pixabay.com to find copyright-free pictures. Publishing Your Blog You’re just one click away from going live! Click “Save” in the top right corner. Choose a category (niche) for your blog, like Motivation, Sports, Fashion, or Education. Select relevant keywords that match your blog topic. These help readers find your story through search. Finally, click “Publish.” The platform will review your blog. If it meets the guidelines, you’ll receive a notification and an email saying your story is live.
