Stream of Consciousness
I, Human . Content Warning.
As a "humans", I've only written once in the Humans community. Funny that, isn't it? I mean it's not funny like Norm MacDonald's drawn-out joke here, but odd funny that I'd seen that community many times and scooted passed it. Others have written in it plenty of times, but not I. I mean, there's no rules, but as a human, it seems it's worth rectifying that omission. Or else I am playing against the bot-catching, Captcha style checks that regularly pass me as a human. Or something. (As further evidence of my humans-iness, I completely forgot that I had already written in Humans a while ago, so edited this piece accordingly to reflect that. As it originally said I had never written in the Humans community.)

Our Spontaneous Cheese Poetry on Date Night
“Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese.” ― G.K. Chesterton, Alarms and Discursions I watched the moon shine brightly this evening through the window of our car. It was day one of two days of travel and the shortest day of the year. ( I wrote this in December 2023). That meant we were traveling mostly at night. The main thing was that we arrived at our first destination and managed to go to sleep, all five of us.

when age hit 18yo
As the clock struck midnight, I felt a mix of excitement and trepidation. I had finally turned 18, marking a significant milestone in my life. The world seemed to be unfolding before me like a canvas, waiting to be painted with vibrant colors of independence, freedom, and responsibility. My thoughts drifted back to childhood, when my parents would read me bedtime stories, and I would dream of the day I could make my own decisions. Now, as I stood on the threshold of adulthood, I felt a sense of empowerment wash over me. I could vote, apply for a credit card, and even rent my own apartment – the possibilities were endless.

Cuddle Comfort
Cuddle Comfort, What’s That? So, what do I mean by “cuddle comfort” exactly? If you take it literally, then it can seem like it is a bit obvious. However, it’s not always a physical act or state of being. Cuddle comfort is just an act, touch, or anything really that gives you that sense of comfort or security in the moment. These moments usually even bring some form of clarity as well. That’s the simplified explanation of what cuddle comfort is; or at least in regards to how I refer to it and what I refer to it as.
