I Want to Be Like a Peacock Feather...
I Want to Be Like a Peacock Feather... Some people enter our lives and make everything feel lighter, almost as if touched by the soft caress of a peacock feather. Their presence carries an unspoken innocence, a charm that draws us into a different world filled with serenity and happiness. Their companionship becomes a precious treasure, a bond that stays with us for a lifetime, bringing joy and comfort even in their absence.

A Year's Reflections. Content Warning.
I was reflecting on the last year of my life. Last December, I was doing everything I could do to try to protect myself and my children from the threat that I couldn't let anyone know about. I had a couple of women's shelters saved on my phone and had a "go bag" packed and hidden so that I could flee at a moment's notice. I tried my best to play my part correctly - I was a good Christian wife who needed to submit to her husband after all. I was devastated on New Year's Eve when after I had put in so much work over the holidays and twisted myself up into a pretzel to attempt to not get physically hurt, that my partner didn't even care to celebrate the launch of my 3rd book. We had just watched the movie he wanted to watch: Free Guy. But, it was never going to be enough from me and I accepted it as the last piece of my heart shattered as he just shrugged off my accomplishment.

December’s Frostbite Follies
The town of Frost Hollow was cursed—or at least, that’s what old Ms. Butterworth claimed every time she wobbled down the frozen streets in her mismatched snow boots. But to the rest of the town, it was just an ordinary December: freezing temperatures, waist-high snow, and an overwhelming sense that life was nothing more than an extended cosmic joke.

The Art Of Imperfection
Ever heard of the quote-"Imperfection is perfect" ? Well,I'm not sure who said that but I was 13,insecure of myself,my tan skin,my almond shaped eyes (that's not even the worst thing I hated about myself),the curls of my hair and the shape of my nose,I was the epitome of insecurity.I would spend hours trying to find a way to change my features I was insecure of it.And when I was scrolling Pinterest and that quote caught my eyes.I read it and....I ignored it.

Suffering and pleasure as origin of consciousness
Suffering and pleasure as origin of consciousness A little extra (terrestrial) Let’s start with a given: we are a peculiar species. We are in nature, and yet at the same time out of it. We live, suffer, die like any other living organism but we are different. The difference is the consciousness of reality. The real world affects all living things, but we are the only ones to be aware of this reality. Furthermore we are the only ones to be able to describe it, put words in our mouths, minds and books. But more essentially, we do not simply adapt to reality, we believe we can change it. Eventually we also have the ability (whether we do it or not) to believe there is more than what affects us, something beyond.
