Gifts for the Mourned
Today, I did something that might seem nonsensical to some but felt necessary to me: I bought a Christmas gift for my deceased mother. I was acting on a dream that I had in which I bought a dragon-shaped ring for my mother, even though I knew that she was gone. Although it was just a dream, I felt as though I had to do it in real life, to get a dragon-shaped ring to put on the chain around her urn alongside her engagement and wedding rings. So, I found the perfect Maleficent dragon ring on Zales and bought it immediately. Even though I know that she will never see it, something tells me that my mother would love it.

Why We Should Be Thankful as Black Greek Members
Every Thanksgiving season gives us a chance to slow down and really pay attention. For many of us in Black Greek Letter Organizations, that pause hits a little different. We are not just thankful for food, family, and time off. We are also grateful for colors, calls, and a legacy that reaches across generations.

Thankful
It’s Thanksgiving, Turkey Day, and we are all made to think about what we are thankful for. This year, unfortunately, I am having a hard time thinking of much to be thankful for. Two major events have overshadowed the good in my life: the drowning of my grandmother in June and the death of my mother in July. Now, I was not very close to my grandmother, but the traumatic nature of her death really struck me, and the fact that it has affected my father so much has made it even worse. And, of course, anyone who has read any of my writings on here know by now that I was very close to my mother and that her death has affected me deeply.

The Scrutiny of Ordinary Women
There is a strange shift happening in public spaces that most professionals have avoided naming because everyone seems afraid to speak plainly. Regular women—the ones who do not treat cosmetics as daily armor or make their clothing choices a performance—are now being scanned as if they are something other than women. Many of them are being silently classified as trans or gay before a single word leaves their mouth. This judgment arrives in split-second glances, pacing, and the quiet hesitation of strangers trying to decide what category they think they are looking at.

Digital Integrity
The Storm Of The Modern World The digital world is both a miracle and a battlefield. It connects people across continents, gives voice to the voiceless, and allows truth to travel farther than any single messenger could reach in a lifetime. Yet it also magnifies pride, anger, and cruelty. What once required courage to say face to face now pours out through keyboards without restraint.

When We Fall Asleep: The Hidden World That Wakes Up Inside Us
No one teaches us how strange sleep actually is. One moment you’re lying in the dark, waiting for your mind to quiet down, and the next… you’re somewhere else entirely. A beach that doesn’t exist. A hallway that stretches longer than logic should allow. A conversation with someone you haven’t seen in years — maybe someone you barely remember. Dreams feel random, but they aren’t accidents. They’re the oldest language our mind speaks, and the one we still can’t translate fully.

Exclusive Psychic Insights: Behind The Scenes With Path of Enlightenment Tarot
Good morning and happy Monday, November 24! After taking some time off from writing for post-operative healing from knee surgery, I am back at it. It's been a few weeks since I posted a Monday Morning Huddle, and today I thought I'd try something different. Instead of my typical nature-themed spirit-guided story, I thought it would be nice to pair with another intuitive.
