love
All you need is Love, and Love is all you need.
The Loveliest Night
This man is a soft spoken Gentleman, and this woman is a well put together lady. It so seemingly appeared that they matched each other hand in hand with the little bit they knew about each other. They were classy, polite, and quite different from what you would usually expect had you known their upbringing. “Could this be the one?” they both patiently yet passionately wondered. This type of attraction was the first of its kind. This was very well a match made in heaven indeed. Their bodies wanted to melt together from the very beginning as if they were molten hot magnets. The interest in each other was mutually engulfed in flames as if a dry forest in California had set fire. They both had been betrayed by their last lover (something neither of them deserved) and weren’t in any rush to be in love, but the intense attraction undeniably existed and could not possibly be swept under the rug. Something nobody could have stumbled upon without a divine purpose. “I’ll have a medium dry martini with a lemon peel, shaken not stirred” he said. “Who are you, James Bond?” she wittily chimed in with a giggle. “I might as well be after a bed allows us underneath it’s covers” he confidently replied. It was a bold move to make such a statement so quickly, but she correctly assumed that he most likely was not wrong and he was nothing short of a gambler. This was a man who was not afraid to take a chance. He glanced down at the glass of duck horn merlot and back up into her eyes without realizing those magnificent ocean eyes were the portal to her delicate soul, and he fell directly into it. It was then and there at that very moment he knew he was in a deep profound love, and it was only their first date. There was plenty of history to be made between these two brand new lovers just waiting to be written amongst the stars; And it happened quicker than a bullet could fly out of a guns barrell. To say they felt lucky to be with another was an understatement, but they knew that this time around they deserved nothing but the best from their next partner. Even then, they didn’t know the best could possibly be this astonishing . His heart made it crystal clear to him that he would do absolutely anything for this woman as long as he lived, and she felt no differently about the man she had already driven crazier than a police chase down the 405 freeway . This was the first page flipped in a book of a new love that could only exist in ones wildest dreams. They both could not wait to make tender passionate love to each other all while giving love a whole new meaning in the process. It was truly special that they were able to share this moment together and it was one they would remember for the rest of their lives. He swished around his glass and elegantly sipped the last of his duckhorn, putting his lips directly onto where she had left a lipstick from when she tasted it herself when she had first received the glass. He then set 4 crisp blue Benjamin Franklins on the table, needless to say the bill was payed for. It was time to leave, but they weren’t quite ready to part ways from one another just yet. She hadn’t yet known, but he created his own music, and once he played the first song she fell even more deeply in love, knowing that what this man was saying was directly from the most passionate depths of his heart; And nobody who liked hearing the truth could deny that his music was anything but that. “Let’s go to the beach” she suggested. “Say less my love, I have got the perfect spot for us ” he responded. He pulled into the parking lot, more than likely waking up the local residents in the process with the his volume cranked to the maximum for the purpose of enhanced vibrations. She was adoring every moment with him more than she could have ever pictured. He exited the truck and rushed to the other side to open her door before she could even consider attempting to do so herself. He then opened the passenger door and assisted her in stepping out of the vehicle. This man was prepared to anything for this woman at any moment in the blink of an eye at this point, and forevermore. They took their shoes off and strolled down the wet sand laughing, smiling, and leaving a trail of footprints behind them that they could never undo . These footsteps were leading to a moment of true love. They arrived at his special spot, a place this man only took a woman that he truly cared about, there hasn’t been many of them. And without much speculation, none of the other woman who had been to this spot meant a single thing to him anymore. The tide was low and the moon was shining directly onto them like a spotlight on the grandest of stages. This was their moment, the first of a lifetime more. Their lips gently touched as he caressed her curvy waist while they danced in the moonlight. He smoothly & gently slipped her dress off and layered her down on the sand. The time had come sooner than expected but their bodies came together and performed with excellence what nature intended lovers to do. More love than you could imagine was made to say the least. They held each other under the still and warm night sky staring at the stars knowing that one another was all that they needed and nothing else. For the first time ever in either of their lives, they both finally felt like everything in their lives were perfect and even greater than they would have ever known. It was the perfect first date. The End.

Fate & Merlot
Fate and Merlot By Lisa Ernst The candle danced in the crystal votive throwing patterns of light skittering across the table linen. As the flame flickered, it glinted off the glass of merlot in front of him, which remained barely touched but bought with the idea it would calm his nerves. The dim lighting in the restaurant had a welcomed calming effect on the man seated at the table. Adjusting his tie again he caught his image in the mirror on the wall across from him and he forced himself to be still. He had no recollection of being like this on a date before, but then he had never been set up with a person that he knew little or nothing about, who he never met or even seen, and may or may not be “just his type,” whatever that meant. If not for David’s insistence, or more to the point David’s wife, he never would have envisioned this scenario happening at all. It was not how he usually went about this, but then, the way he normally went about things hadn’t worked.

Her
He was exhausted. The private party he was overseeing was lasting way too long, was way too crowded and way too loud. The only bright spot in the whole night had been her and he didn’t even know who she was. She had grabbed a drink from one of his bartenders when he first noticed her. The next time he saw her, he moved in and waited on her himself. He made flirty little small talk and she had flirted back. At that moment he thought there was hope for the evening. When she came back again, he flirted a bit more seriously and so did she. Promise, the evening showed promise. He decided the next time he saw her that he would ask her for her name and phone number. Then…. poof, she seemed to disappear. He hadn’t seen her in almost two hours. The promise of the evening was slowly waning. He could just feel a dull ache forming in his head. He needed a break.

Everything Happens For A Reason
The day of the accident is a day that will never be forgotten. Five years later I still cant get her off my mind. She was everything. She was my first date, my first kiss, my last love. Death is a grim truth. We are mere mortals pretending to live forever. Patience is a virtue but god I miss you. Here I am patiently waiting for god to strike me down. Here I am waiting to see your face again. I wake up empty. I go to the same job that took every minute I had with you and cut it in half. I just don't have the courage to end it. God please give me the courage.

Zoomers
Zoomers Still not a date, seven months late Kaleidoscope. That’s what all those faces looked like on the gallery view of the Zoom call. All the different colors, all the faces moving, some people who rocked back and forth, some who looked up, some who looked down, some who looked all around, some who were still as mice, some who looked bored or drunk or zoned out. I pushed the button to see the next screen of the next twenty-six faces, and then one more screen after that. Seventy-three participants on this call to watch a magic show broadcast from Westwood.

Merlot Rouge
Two hours had passed and not a single person entered. The building I rented was right on the corner a few blocks away from the French Quarter. Stragglers passed by, but they didn't seem too interested in any art. "Philistines." I joked to myself. I was also awaiting a girl I'd been seeing for a few months. I'd sent a follow-up text to check if she would still come. No response. I later find her on Locale (a social app dedicated to your location at all times) at an event across town somewhere. Oh, well.

Sailor Moon
It’s a match! Shit, now what? Putting my phone down, I take a deep breath and change the channel. Ding! Smiling as I pick up my phone to read the notification, “Hey sexy.” Seriously? That’s what dating has come to? Rolling my eyes before replying, “Hey, how’s it going?” Responding within seconds, “It’s going good beautiful. How’s it going with you?” I quickly unmatch him. I’ve chatted with enough men to know once they start using the physically descriptive words, they are just wanting to hook-up.

Does Every Couple Have a "That's Us" Couple?. Top Story - April 2021.
Does every couple have a couple they look at and say, "Oh yeah, that's just like us!"? If you read that question and immediately thought of a famous (or not) couple that you compare to you and your partner, I guess that helps get me closer to an answer about how many people do that!

10 Things I’ve Learned About Relationships
Every relationship is different, but no relationship is perfect. We ALL have times when we argue. If you say that you both agree on everything and never fight, either you’ve hit the lottery, or you’re kidding yourself. Either way, a relationship takes both partners working and growing together to face the obstacles that life throws their way. I have been with my fiancé—(I can’t believe I get to say that now!!) off and on for 7 years now. We’ve had our ups and downs, but over the years I’ve learned a few things.

Lips Like Merlot
“Alright, here is your steak and your pasta. If there’s anything else I can get you, just let me know, okay? Enjoy, guys.” Their waitress leaves them alone again, and Talia wishes she could melt into the floor as she picks up a fork to pick at her calamari pasta—the only thing she’d been able to recognize and pronounce on the menu.
