humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
In the Shadows
One year ago, my world completely changed. On March 13th, 2020, I left my job for what would be the last time. I was informed that I was furloughed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I was told my furlough would hopefully only be about six weeks. Six weeks turned into six months. Six months turned into a year. I know this is a common story. I know I’m not alone. What makes my story different is that I am unemployed and disabled.

The Human Connection
Almost everyday all of us at some point in the day will connect with a stranger like magnets in a spiderweb, but in todays world of a busy society we don’t feel this anymore, we are too busy in our own heads, thoughts and emotions that we have become so oblivious to the entanglement in our energy with others. In our cities walk past hundreds of strangers we could learn and benefit from just from their life stories and experiences with the path that their feet have walked on, that’s not to say we should ever walk on someone else’s path but shedding light on our forked roads.

PERSONALITY MATTERS? PERSONALITY MATTERS!
Personality matters? Personality matters! there is a lot lies between these two statements. The word personality comes from the Latin word ‘persona’ that means mask. It is a pattern of body language, way of talking, thoughts, feelings, behavior that makes a person different from the rest. The personality of a person gives a good or bad impression to everyone, which judges you without putting much effort.

Alone
Music echoed down the hall of the shotgun cabin as the wind picked up speed outside. A choir of trees rustling harmonized with the constant low roar of the wind itself. The record player skipped over its usual spot- pulling Peter from his stupor for a single moment. The feminine voice carried on like nothing had happened, like the vinyl she was permanently attached to wasn't damaged at all, and the only thing that mattered at that moment was finishing her song. It some opera piece from the fifties Peter's brother would play to feel like an intellectual again, even though the man had not set foot in a university since leaving Home.

Mirror
This story, like many others, begins with a boy of no more than ten years. Dark hair and big brown eyes, tanned from living on an island paradise. A family of five in a three bedroom apartment was what he called home. They were poor, the boy and his family, and while he knew this he never truly understood poverty. When he thought about it he didn't see the homelessness that he saw in the news or the crime or rampant hunger that the news spoke about when they spoke about other boys like him. After all, mom and dad always had food for him at the table. He had a bed in a room under a roof that he enthusiastically shared whit his older brother. There was a full bathroom with a tub where he soaked and played with his toys. His toys! He had toys, so how could he be poor? They weren't the newest or best but they were his and his alone. He had an older sister that looked over him although he didn't know at the time. And he had mom and dad who, besides giving him food, never let him want for nothing.

A Cancer To Life Itself
Humanity has become a gross and hideous cancer to the planet and consequently to the universe and ultimately to Spirit. The universe, spirit is a living and conscious energy source and force. Everything that exists is a part of spirit, is a part of the Oneness of our universe. Spirit is self aware, conscious of our diverse and complex nature. Spirit is always observing all of the elements of ourself, constantly consuming and recyclingof ourself, constantly processing information, constantly learning more about ourself, refining our understanding of ourself, and constantly evolving into new and amazing and more complex things. But as we, Spirit live and as we, Spirit evolve, we consequently experience certain growth pains and injuries and illnesses during the process. It's just life. Growing pains and even unfortunate mistakes during the learning process of self. So sometimes spirit, self, we create certain negative harmful manifestations within ourself.

I Was Once Heckled by a Vietnam Vet in High School. Top Story - March 2021.
Let's start with the obvious... War is hell, I think we can all agree on that. Whether you support nation-on-nation violence or not, it's clear that war is not a fun thing. Well, maybe to some. And no, I have never, nor will I ever (hopefully) fight in a war. Psychological warfare, maybe, but that's neither here or there.

Reflections around the clock
Let’s start from the basics. I thought that I could have a journal that looks nice, from an aesthetic point of view at least. I have always wanted to write something, a blog maybe, where I would be able to insert pictures or songs, funny memes or gifs, you know, I would like to make it more alive. Will see if I can insert some YouTube link in the text, though I don’t see why not. For now, Mercury retrograde is messing up with my font; it keeps on changing it, so I have to go back and forth and correct its mess. Mercury, don’t be a pain in the unseen. 😉 Oh, great: I can even use emojis! Clearly not a journal kept by an actual teenager. They would know it all, they always do.

What the dying know....
What the dying know….. I am no stranger to death. As a hospice nurse, I have seen many, many patients of mine die. Some die when I leave, some die when I turn my back and some die right in front of me. Each death is unique. They are never the same.
