Almost everyday all of us at some point in the day will connect with a stranger like magnets in a spiderweb, but in todays world of a busy society we don’t feel this anymore, we are too busy in our own heads, thoughts and emotions that we have become so oblivious to the entanglement in our energy with others. In our cities walk past hundreds of strangers we could learn and benefit from just from their life stories and experiences with the path that their feet have walked on, that’s not to say we should ever walk on someone else’s path but shedding light on our forked roads.

We barely notice the emotional scarring tissue in the stranger we just walked passed or to the customer we just spoke with on the phone.

We have become a society that is too busy to care, there is so much demand in our day we don’t have the time, patience or resources to spend a second thought on everyone we come in to contact with.

We seem to only care about our closest friends and family and forget about the stranger next to us that could benefit us and hold value to us and our value to them.

All of this might be incredibly obvious and some of us might not care that much, but what if we were to bring the same attitude to the friends and family that we do know.

We would do anything for them, but we don’t spend a second thought on a stranger who might be the next person to help solve our problems, they might have the knowledge that we need to succeed, they could be our next boss or business partner, they could be our next life partner in crime.

If we don’t roll the dice we would stay stagnant and we would hold ourselves back from our personal growth and development.

I have recently have experienced a kind connection that really made me smile, sitting down in a courtyard of a café where a table across from me sits a 3 year old girl smiling at me. The little girl was being a real handful to her parents as they apologized to me for her behavior, I had said to them that it was more than ok, that this experience had put a smile on my face for the rest of the day. They thanked me me for my patience as others would have not been so patient. If I had not been so patient and if I had just wanted my own space I would have been at such a loss of an incredible experience with this child who I may or may never meet again.

The value of this connection is absolutely priceless and all I needed to do was to put myself aside so that others and myself included can have a beneficial experience with another human who is at the beginning of their life, untamed and pure at heart, here in that small brain lies no judgement, doubt or cynicism but an infinite amount of possibilities and imagination. This we are in dire need of for our success in happiness.

This is why forgiveness is so important, without it there’s no telling how much we would suffer. This is how human connection can create such happiness for us and its why human connection is more valuable than anything else in the world, more than politics, religion and currency, even though a stranger to your left may have just crashed into your car, they could also save your life in the future in whatever context that may be.
