humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
Dead Rat
Today was inconvenient from the beginning. I woke up earlier than I usually do to attend a meeting. I was looking forward to this meeting but the seductive nature of an extra hour of sleep weighed heavily on my body and soul. I was nodding off on the subway, as I often do. I was practically boasting my shameless poor posture, reclining in the hard train chair that allowed me about six neighborhoods-worth of shut-eye. The meeting was fine, I saw some friends, made some new ones.

Madmen and Others
Madmen and Others by: Dennis R. Humphreys Why is it, since time memorable, that governments can't figure how to solve an economic, social, or educational problem, yet they easily find creative ways to make their citizens suffer? Time and time again, governments in the name of doing what's best for their citizens, destroy them in the name of progress. Often their future is in the hands of madmen but isn't the population just as mad giving into such madmen? Our future isn't in their hands, it's in ours and letting others gain the necessary control to accomplish their madness we have created our own future. We have condemned, not just ourselves but our children's and succeeding generations, to the madness for which the Creator exiled Satan from heaven.

Being Optimistic Isn't Enough
Let’s start by saying that faith, and having discernment are not the same as being optimistic. Life is marred by the many lessons learned from trying to be optimistic in spite of the truth. Let us go on a journey to find out what it means to understand to be understood.

Walk in my shoes
Actually, that's quite the travel. Not because of the paths I have walked but the number of years that walking was my transportation. I didn't get excited at 16 about getting a license. I didn't see the point and I really didn't know how I was supposed to be trusted behind the wheel of a car as a 16-year-old CHILD. I was not prepared for that kind of responsibility so I didn't even care about turning 16. Turning 16, for me, meant that I was allowed to finally work at the Café right up the street from my house. I didn't need a car to walk 2 blocks to work and we lived in the middle of a ridiculously small town (like one flashing red light, small town), where literally everything was within walking distance. I could walk to the store, the post office, my church, my aunt's, my friends, the 3 restaurants in town, or the 2 gas stations... nothing was too far to walk to.

Embracing Change
I can't know what you, dear reader, believe. What I do know is what I believe. I subscribe to the notion that our souls come into the life we're in now with lessons to learn. We have those pot of gold goals that we pursue until we stop needing to pursue them or achieve them.

Thank you SO much.
It’s 2011 holiday season at GAP. I’m working the women’s sales floor and things are just peachy. There’s about 300 go backs, clothes are flying everywhere & I’m coked out from the night before, unbothered, and scrolling for my next hookup on Grindr.

The Sands of Time
June 18th 2006 The weather out here will kill me before any of the wildlife does. I mean, how does anyone get anything done in 98 degree heat! Living in Montana my whole life has nothing to prepare me for this type of work even if I have dreamed of it my whole life. Even if I am slightly in love with the guide that was hired to take us through the jungle of woods here in Georgia, I could never stay here. That being said, let me take you back to the beginning of the story and tell you why I am here. It started almost eight months ago.
