humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
Purpose and Meaning in Life
I was talking to someone who felt like they had no purpose and meaning in life. Some might respond that we do not necessarily need meaning. That life simply is. However, meaning and purpose are factors in life satisfaction. And I think we can all agree as humans we create meaning, whether we want to or not. To feel like this life has no meaning and we have no purpose in it means we have no motivation or drive to persist in our goals. I am sure we have at all, at one time or another, related to this feeling. I certainly have.

Stop fooling yourself
None of us want to appear lying in front of people because it would be untrustworthy to say the least, and immoral at worst; but we are content to lie to ourselves all the time. Self-deception does not have to make sense to us, lying is telling something that you know is not true, being a liar and a deceiver together means that you know the truth and do not learn it at the same time, this is defined in clinical practice as a person deliberately ignoring basic information, to get a more favorable result of what the facts indicate.

I'm Giving Vocal a Try
Hello fellow Vocal writers! Newbie here. A few days ago I came across an article on Medium, where I have been writing for 3 months now, and learned about Vocal. The article had some good insights to the platform, so I decided to bring some articles over from Medium, just to see how they would do.

PAST FRIENDS
ADVENTURES IN CHAOS My gut warned against marrying the blowhard ignorant ass, such a contrast to his sweet neighborly parents and sister. He was an adopted child, and his sister was born two years later. My parents disliked him immensely which made the marriage even more difficult for me.

When Jokes Go Too Far, How Should You Respond?
The Oscars 2022 was… eventful, to say the least. This year was a year of firsts. We had Ariana Debose winning an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, becoming the first openly queer woman of colour to receive the prestigious award. In addition to this, Troy Kotsur became the first deaf man to win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. The 20-year-old superstar Billie Eilish also managed to grab her first Academy Award for Best Original Song.

Barren
I come from a family of very fertile women. In fact, all of my female cousins in my age range became pregnant in the same year. Once at a family barbecue one of my uncles joked, "Yeah, it was in the water and Kim drank sodas that month." His statement elicited many laughs. I laughed, too; however, a nagging thought loomed in the back of my mind: can I actually conceive and bear a child? When I expressed concerns to an aunt, she laughed and assured me that I was needlessly worrying; every woman in our family was made for this, in fact, her mother (my grandmother) had her last child in her late thirties; I would be no exception, according to her.

Love To Be Alone But Hate To Be Lonely?
Who else loves to be alone? Personally, when I’m alone I can finally drop the façade I carry with me outside and be myself. When I’m alone, I am far removed from the judgmental eyes of others. I can eat whatever I want, I can say whatever I want and I can do whatever I want.

Rainbow Girl
Reflecting on my late friends life It’s been over a week from the time of me writing this article since my dear friend Karly has passed away. Her 24 years on Earth would prove to almost anyone that if you have a talent to create, that it should never be taken for granted. My reflective piece of Karly will probably be one of my most treasured blogs on this platform because of what she meant in my life and to her other love ones. I only gotten to truly know her through a friend who happen to be her music voice teacher. I feel blessed to of had her in my life and learned so much from her. You know, for those who knew who Karly was, she had a knack for singing and her song writing abilities astounded everyone who had a chance to see her process to lyrics be turned into melodic and soulful ballads.
