Get Ready for an Extra Hour of Sleep: Daylight Saving Time is Ending in North Carolina As fall approaches, it’s almost time to turn back the clocks and enjoy that extra hour of sleep. In North Carolina, daylight saving time (DST) is about to end. Each year, we move our clocks forward in the spring and turn them back again in the fall, a routine that's been in place for decades. This year, daylight saving time will end on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 2 a.m., giving us an extra hour to rest and making the mornings a little brighter.

...Continued from weekend 3 Saturday was the 6th annual Un-Official Pride Day at The Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Nearly 1400 people rsvp'd to our Facebook event. It gets bigger each year and we are so glad to love and be loved in the communities: Renaissance and LBGTQIA+. Shops decked themselves out, acts wore their best rainbow, flag, or pride duds, and the patrons take their garb to the next level. While I'm glad to be the nexus of the event annually, I am not the true origin. PRIDE doesn't happen without all the people willing to be generous in a community to show who they are and will not be hurt or repressed for a safe love or lifestyle.

Karnataka Declares Dengue Epidemic, Imposes Fines for Mosquito Breeding
The Karnataka state government has declared dengue fever as an epidemic due to the rapid increase in the number of cases across the state. A total of 25,408 cases have been reported so far with the death toll reaching 12. has made the situation critical and forced the government to take urgent action. The state capital Bengaluru has been worst hit, with more than 11,000 confirmed cases and three deaths. Besides, other districts including Mandya, Hassan, Mysuru, and Kalaburgi are also experiencing significant outbreaks.
