Comedy horror. comedic horror. haha get spooked This can be paradies or just funny horror movies. They prioritize the jokes, but there's a boo factor there even if it's not meant to outright scare you, the people in the movie are hilariously scared.

Fucking shame on this movie for almost failing my 30-minute rule. Say what you want about the shitty franchise installments from 5-7, at least they got to the meat and potatoes quickly. And the original, ten fucking minutes in and BOOM, cenobites crawling out of every orifice.

Sami’s Review: Hellraiser 2022
I have to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of Clive Barker. The blood and gore focus of horror. But just because its not my cup of tea in terror doesn’t mean I don’t respect what he brings. Since I have gotten into horror movies, his name always pops up for the recognition he’s done for books and movies. I do have to respect that he does bring something new to horror. It’s not just blood and guts flying everywhere it really is a sought out story.

The Top Ghost Films You Need to See
"The Shining" (1980) (Gene pick) The film version of "The Shining" combines two masters at the top of their craft - writer Stephen King and director Stanley Kubrick. Based on King's second novel, King reportedly hated the film, and in 1997 wrote the screenplay for a TV mini-series that was more faithful to his vision. However, the mini-series has been largely forgotten, while the film stands out as a terrifying masterpiece of horror. Known to be fanatic about detail, and adept at working on subliminal levels, Kubrick does more than the viewer realizes to have an increasing sense of wrongness and dread mirroring the feeling the family living in the hotel has that at any time, they could encounter creepy twins in a hallway, or have a vision of elevators full of blood. To see exactly what Kubrick does to achieve this feeling, see the excellent documentary "Room 237."
