The Haunted Grave
This incident has three parts, different incidents that make up one whole story. The narrator collected this story primarily from his cousin, Alamin. The first part of the story Alamin heard from his grandmother, and it happened to someone from a house next to his grandmother's father's house. And the person it happened to was a Kobiraj (traditional healer/exorcist). It wasn't just him, but also his family, who were affected. Although the grandmother didn't see it with her own eyes, she was essentially a witness.

I'm not mentioning his father-in-law's name for understandable reasons, and his wife's name is also involved, so I'm not mentioning her name either. Many people around here know his father-in-law. The incident occurred sometime between 2000 and 2001. At that time, his father-in-law used to drive a van there. The incident begins with a date palm tree next to their house. This date palm tree had a small banyan tree growing on top of it. There was a washroom next to the tree.

The Jinn Mystery on the Night of Operation Jackpot
Before getting to the main event, if I don't start by mentioning something about the Great Liberation War, it will be difficult to understand the significance of this event. A notable event of the Great Liberation War is Jackpot. During the Liberation War, the entire country was divided into 11 sectors, and among them, sector number 10 encompassed all the waterways, seaports, and sea areas of Bangladesh. There was no regular sector commander for this waterway or under the authority of sector number 10. At that time, large ships were arriving from Pakistan carrying weapons. If these weapons fell into the hands of the Pakistani army or their collaborators, the number of killings in our country would increase even further, and many innocent people would die. So, to break the morale of the Pakistani forces at that time, a special operation was conducted, called Operation Jackpot. Under Operation Jackpot, there were four locations: Chittagong seaport, Mongla seaport, Chandpur river port, and Narayanganj river port. Our event today has a connection with the Chittagong seaport. The person who led the operation there was Submariner Bir Muktijoddha (Freedom Fighter) Abdul Wahed Chowdhury, Bir Uttam. Basically, there were two signals for the start of this operation. Two songs were to be broadcast on a specific frequency from Kolkata Akashvani (All India Radio). The first song was sung by Pankaj Mullick, "Ami Tomay Jato Shuniyechhilam Gaan." When this song was broadcast, it was the signal to attack, meaning the attack had to be launched that night, or after midnight. That was one signal. The other was a song sung by Sandhya Mukhopadhyay, "Amar Putul Aajke Prothom Jaabe Shoshurbari."

It was the night of September 19, 2023. He had just gotten married and had gone to his home country after the wedding. When he was returning from his country, he acquired a new 2023 model Toyota Raize from the showroom on a five-year installment plan. His work was going well, by the grace of Allah, Alhamdulillah. Then, what happened was his in-laws came to Mecca with their whole family to perform Umrah. It was, of course, prearranged that he would come. He lives in Dammam, which is quite far. But those who are in Saudi Arabia know how far the cities of Dammam and Riyadh are from Mecca. From Al-Ahsa, Mecca is about 1300 km away. No matter how good the roads are there, it's not easy to just drive over such a long distance. It takes a long time to drive. And Ataur Rahman's father-in-law had been in Saudi Arabia for 25 years. He was a driver for a company, so he knew all about the roads in Saudi Arabia and the techniques of driving there. So, his father-in-law said, "Son, when you come, come by bus. There's no need to come in a private car." He must have thought it through, considering he was coming from Dammam, and he had a lot of experience with the roads there. Ataur Rahman was new; he had no experience. The person who drove in Saudi Arabia for 25 years and gained experience driving to various remote cities of Saudi Arabia, he would naturally understand better than him what kind of problems there are on which roads. After resting for a bit, he goes out for a chat. Most of the time, they fish in different parts of the Grand Canal using fishing rods with reels. The government releases a lot of fish there, and many people fish there. On weekends or public holidays, many people try to fish there. They often try to catch fish, cast their lines, and chat. So, I'm going to tell you about one such incident. They went fishing; there were two of them that day. Usually, there are three of them together, but that day, for some reason, the third person didn't come. So, when the two of them went fishing, they found that they had been trying for three consecutive days but couldn't catch a single fish. On the fourth day, when they went fishing, unlike the other days when there were three of them, there were only two of them. They tried fishing for a long time, trying as they did on other days, but it wasn't working.
