fiction
Horror fiction that delivers on its promise to scare, startle, frighten and unsettle. These stories are fake, but the shivers down your spine won't be.
Marylin's Revenge
I sat quietly in the pew of the broken-down church, listening to the priest fresh out of college preach yet another cult like sermon. It’d been almost a year since the end of the world had gone into full swing, and many months of Jeremiah manipulating his flock since Father Clayton’s death.

Mad Cow
I should’ve became Vegan. I live in a world with a bunch of Hipster assholes that think their shit doesn't stink, and why? Because they are Vegan. I love meat. I’ve loved it since I could remember. I remember when I was 4 years old and tried bacon for the first time. God, it was amazingly delicious. I loved the greasiness and the crunchiness of it, so crisp yet such a small little shriveled 1 inch piece of meat. Don’t even get me started with fried chicken, probably the best way to make any kind of meat; fried! But let’s get started on the real problem here…. Beef, Cow, the moo meat. Have you ever heard that cows are bad for the environment? I guess they are not that bad since researchers claimed that “they don’t affect the climate,” but the real truth is... If you pass by cow manure, or someone or something passing gas…. Yeah that’s not good to breathe in. Back to the bigger picture.

Day of Tomorrow
Running, Panting, Wheezing, I am sick of it, I just need to relax, I can do that when I am dead, right now I need succeed in my goal.I dropped myself down next to a banged up abandoned SUV and took a massive deep breath even with this gas mask I have on it’s still hard to breath as if the gas is to strong and thick. I looked around, on my right I can see a lifeless corpse staring into an opened heart shaped locket, her body looks like a skeleton with a slab of skin on her, looking up and the sky looks as orange and green to it with a slim of purple streaks here and there. You can see a few streaks of oranges and greens in the air right in front of me.

Ghosts and Mirrors
I will never forget the stories my grandmother used to tell me when no one was around. My family was super religious so they did not approve of anything that was not in the bible or about becoming a better Christian. After a particularly scary tale she would remind me that I was not to breathe a word of it to anyone. I was little at the time so I didn’t think anything of it. It was our little secret. I loved secrets, they made me feel important and special.

The Forsaken
On the shores of once upon a long time ago, an old, abandoned shrine stands guard over the dilapidated, little town of Orinshire. Each and every night, as the sun approaches the horizon, the strong, solemn staccato of the shrine’s bell punctuates the quiet shuffle of life below. The streets empty of people, in unison everyone files into their ramshackle homes; ‘closed’ signs simultaneously snap in storefronts; and a resounding ‘click’ of doors locking into place echoes throughout the forsaken town.

A Cautionary Tale for the Future of the Human Race
Entry #1237 July 4th 2089 I fear I won’t be able to make entries after today. Supplies have grown scarce. I have started to succumb to hunger and become delirious but I must complete this entry. Not only so the truth can be known, but also because I can no longer carry the weight of this guilt, for my role in the events leading up to this. My whole life I’ve lived by the mantra of Do No Harm. On November 3rd 2085 I failed to uphold that oath, and I failed humanity on a scale that, at the time, I just couldn’t have fathomed. On that day my team would change the course of humanity and ultimately the downfall of the human race, and it all started with a heart shaped locket.

The Day The Ground Fell
She leapt down from the ladder as the sky growled and rumbled. The first drops fell from the nothingness above, and she was relieved to have made it back in time. It wasn’t like her former self had imagined acid rain, but it stung, like hot fat spitting from a frying pan, and like hot fat, it only ignited the fires more.
