The Drifters. Content Warning.
Raindrops tapped gently against the windshield as John veered out of the drive-in and onto the adjacent street. His car, an aging Chevy he had acquired from a less-than-reputable used car dealer some time ago, swayed slightly on the wet pavement. Lost in thought about the movie he had just seen, he drove along the dimly lit road, moving away from the drive-in. The film had been one of those forgettable romantic comedies, with a plot involving a female lead secretly infatuated with her best friend’s boyfriend. John wouldn’t dwell on it for long. The only thing that had left a lasting impression was the lead actress, whose stunning appearance lingered in his mind. Especially the scene where she had donned a blue bikini on the beach was etched in his memory. John imagined himself on a rainy autumn road, on a deserted beach, spending an afternoon with the gorgeous Hollywood blonde from the film. The sound of the ocean echoed in their ears as he and his dream girl shared a passionate kiss.

Creep
Dear beloved, I don't know what made me fall in love with you, for there are so many things that drew ne to you. It might have been your eyes, the way their sea bluish green depths glittered with amusement and humor as you listened to the joke your friend was telling you. It could have been the tattoos that were hiding beneath the sleeves and collar of the deep, forest green turtleneck you were wearing. Then again, it may have been your long, black hair that gently brushed your shoulders. No, it was definitely your smile; how it seemed crooked and full of hidden humor.
