The Jump
Jimmy sat at the edge of the landing, six stories up, looking down. How will it feel he asked himself, will I pass out before I hit the bottom? He had read somewhere that most suicide jumpers pass out before they hit thus feel little to no pain. Is this high enough? He also heard that time slowed down and your life would pass before you. Will the fall kill me, or just break my legs? Several minutes passed and Jimmy's thoughts floated in and out of his mind without sticking anywhere. His original plan was to climb to the top of the towns water tower and just jump off the side, plunging to his death. However the recent sullying of the tower by a graffiti artist who identified himself with the tag BOOG made the attention on the tower too great. The local cops would now drive by too frequently, shining their spotlights onto the tower. Jimmy couldn't risk that, what if they caught him before the jump, they'd blame him for the graffiti and that would be all he'd be known for.

The Haunting of Drish House
On 17th Street in Tuscaloosa, Alabama there is a home that is hailed as the most haunted in Alabama. It is called the Drish House which was formerly known as Monroe Place. Built mostly by slaves for John Drish and his wife on a plot of 450 acres, it was a beautiful home styled in both the Greek and Italian Renaissance style. However, as beautiful as it was, darkness from its past marred its beauty.

Dissection of the Meleagris Gallopavo
The experiment of the Meleagris Gallopavo began as it normally would: an early morning awakening to light snowfall, hot coffee waiting on the stove, warm crackling heat and, a soon to be insatiable hunger cured only by the festival cheer, company of others, and of course the Gallopavo itself.

Reflections
I saw the thing looking back at me from the mirror again today. I cannot explain what it is, and to anybody else it would look like a normal reflection. It looks just like me and acts exactly like a reflection should, but I know it is just trying to trick me. When I wave my arm, it waves. When I move, it copies me. It has my face and my eyes, but it is not my reflection, it is something else and I think it knows I know. Sometimes I can see a look in its eyes when I wake up in the morning. I look up with groggy eyes to see it staring back at me, staring at me with a look of somebody with a secret. It got to the point where I was even afraid to go near the mirror fearing that I might get too close, and be pulled right into that strange place were reflections are born, and come face-to-face with the creature that wears my appearance as a disguise. The first time I noticed something was wrong was only a couple of days ago, but since then things have gotten progressively worse.

Bad Dream - Demon or Sleep Paralysis
This dream was probably one of the scariest I have ever had. I suffer from sleep paralysis, so when I am having a nightmare, that makes it so much worse. I know what sleep paralysis is. I did a whole module on sleeping disorders at university. In simple terms, sleep paralysis is when your body falls asleep before your mind, giving you the feeling of being paralysed. I prefer this explanation a lot more in comparison to what my dad and grandma believe: it's a demon holding you down. They have never actually said it in those words, but that is definitely what they mean.
