This Woman
One woman’s death could be the start of another’s life. Only perception decides if any of it matters or not. This woman, who usually has a positive outlook and a loving perspective, took one too many knocks to the ground, one too many wrecking balls to the head. This woman who usually gets back up and faces every blow, decided it was indeed time for change and change brought her to a reality she had neither expected nor avoided. After almost 50 years of dragging herself up off the dirty, bloody floor of existence, she changed her modus operandi and gave Life something to really remember her by…

Did you know Horror movies are great for first dates? For instance, the chemicals our brains release when we fall in love happen to be the same exact chemicals released when we get scared! A Night with Grandpa
Spirits are all around us. Most of the time we don't realize it because we can't see them. Or can we? Sometimes if they want to be seen they will make an appearance. I was able to meet my Grandfather—who had passed away seven years before I was born. Feeling a little weird yet, you haven't read anything yet.

Finally Found
The sky was grey as the wind whipped up the freshly fallen snow. The sidewalk felt like a tunnel with the icy snow drifts piled on either side of my usual route to and from work. I knew every crack and crevasse in the sidewalk, and all the faces of the people I saw on my daily trek but today was different. The snow was unexpected and came with a ferocity that the town had never witnessed before. My path that was usually flooded with familiar faces was now barren of any life.

Heidi
The trees were dense and dark. The sounds of nature could be heard all around. Crickets chirping were prominent but something was still off. It was like nature was yelling at me to get out. But I couldn't. My dog, Heidi, was missing and I had to find her. This wasn't the first time, and I'm sure it wouldn't be the last, but it all just felt really off. Birds were screaming, and my body wanted to react.

I Watched the 'Slender Man' Movie so You Don't Have To
Now this will contain spoilers...you've been warned. As of writing this review, I got home from the movie theater about 10 minutes ago, and I put on a good horror movie (1976 Carrie for those who are wondering) in the hopes of getting this trash out of my head.

The Dead Man
I was driving on a country road on my way to a friend’s house. It was in the middle of the night and I was almost there. When I looked in my rearview mirror, I saw a strange figure in the back seat. I almost jumped out of my skin. I settled down and decided it was just a figment of my imagination so I just kept driving. Two hours later. I looked back once more. I saw the figure again, but more clearly this time. I could see that the figure was a middle-aged man. But that is all I could see of him. After that, I immediately pulled over.
