Now or Never
Morgan and her family never settled down in one town. Ever since she was three, she moved from town to town, never staying in one place too long, longing for the day where she didn’t have to say goodbye, wishing her parents would stay put. She has always felt trapped within this endless cycle—waking up to the cardboard boxes, having to restart over and over again at a new school every year, hoping that one day she could break free from her parents, and it happened. Under The Linoleum Floor
It’s raining outside. I've always found it peaceful when it rains. When I was really little, Mama told me that when it rains it means the angels are crying. I don't understand how something so beautiful can be born from sadness. Mama use to tell me lots of things, but she doesn't anymore. She use to smile and laugh too.

Memories
Fog shrouded the island. Thick white haze, like a large wet blanket, was pulled over the entire chunk of land. He wasn’t afraid, he knew he would eventually be back. Life had to go on, even if he didn’t. To him it seemed like years since he was on the island, but it didn’t matter. Time wouldn’t move without him, it waited for him to come back. Days, weeks, months, time would hold for as long as it had to. Like a worried father waiting up impatiently at the table for his little girl to come home from her first date. When he stepped back on the island, time would be there to greet him.

Ghosts of My Childhood (Part 1)
I’ve come to an understanding of what I believe can be called "ghosts." They’re not the over-the-top, horror movie Halloween decoration concoctions people like to scoff at. Consequently, these stories may not be the wild Reddit-style horror stories many people seek out but rather a subtler record of the paranormal events in my life. What’s left over when we’re gone is very, even if inexplicably, real.

Why I Don't Watch Horror Movies
I never understood why people loved being scared or at least why some of my family members did. It's one thing for me to watch a movie with horror elements, but I can't watch horror movies like some of my family members and friends can; of course, I got made fun of for not liking them so, in a way, this is me saying why I can't really get into them.
